If this isn’t the American dream, I don’t know what is.

As a veteran with a documented service connected injury that required back surgery, it was hard enough for me to get treatment at the VA [I eventually gave up] and I’m a straight, white, male.
I see you’ve neglected to include an RX-8. As a prior (and hopefully future) RX-8 owner, I have no issues with this.
I live in the area, this dude has been trying to sell this vehicle since before I can remember. I have a “datsun” reminder set up on one of my craigslist apps (hey, not many S30s out here, gotta keep an eye out) and at least once a week this thing pops up.
I’ve done it with & without driveshafts installed and the t-case in neutral. For peace of mind (and per the -10 TM), disco’ing the driveshafts is best practice, but for expediency over short distances (or in an emergency) it can be done with the transfer case in neutral.
A typical u-haul double axle car hauler trailer w/surge brakes weighs 2210lbs. So, more.
According to TM [Army Technical Manual] 9-2320-280-10, an M998 weighs 5200lbs.
Any idea if that was caught on film? Asking for a friend...
I mentioned it in a standalone comment below, but early in the video around the 1:16 mark you can see the brake pedal clearly doesn’t have a cover on it. At the 8:42 mark it shows a pedal cover in place. Either he installed the pedal cover post-fire, or this is a different car.
Brake pedal has a cover at 8:42-8:43. 1:16-1:17 it does not.
An old flight instructor once told me that “there’s no reason to fly through a thunderstorm in peacetime.” He never mentioned hurricanes, so I guess they’re OK.
I’m a little... disappointed? I don’t know if that’s the right word for it. A while back, my friend & I maxed out my badly out-of-tune 22R w/2barrel carb 5-spd 180,000 mile ‘86 Toyota 4x4 Pickup at 97mph. I was about 175lbs, and my co-pilot was a good 250lbs and we had about 500lbs of tires, gear, and food in the bed…
I saw a statistic somewhere saying that 98% of all Harleys sold are still on the road.
Wow, your physics teacher sounds pretty rad. My physics teacher introduced me to Gordon Lightfoot (who I’ve now seen in concert a few times, and have all of his records... yes records).
So much this (I lived in Dorchester for a few years in the 90's, and fly into Logan 4-5x/yr). Sure, you’ll get your assholes every now and then in LA, but their behavior is such an aberration that they’re really noticeable & easy to avoid. Yet in Boston, on the road anyway, everyone is an asshole and if you drive in a…
Walking & driving took the same amount of time. The big holdup being the traffic lights. Because I was going north to south in a very east-west commute oriented town, I was at the mercy of cross traffic the entire time. Even with walking. 5+ minutes per walk waiting at stoplights was not uncommon.
Only times I drove were during a 4 month stretch bracketing my back surgery. I biked, walked & jogged exclusively outside of that window. Biking was by far the quickest - <10 min door to door.
