The major reason fortnite feels less predatory is that players are afforded opportunities to earn the premium currency through the battle pass or playing the PvE portion of the game. I’ve played fortnite for over a year and I still don’t think I’ve spent more than $20 on it and I’ve bought every new battle pass with

Alright, stop what you’re doin’, because you’re about to ruin the image and style that i’m used to.

i’ve actually had the experience where i came to apex legends as a very avid fortnite player and loved it. I still play both games but the squad mechanics in fortnite now seem crude by comparison. I found myself wanting to ping things for teammates or spot enemies for them in FN and once i was eliminated from my squad

i never minded the story based character interactions or even the long rides where the gang or characters were talking to each other that much but every gunfight turning a ridiculous hail of gunfire where i would be forced into shooting 20-30 nameless henchmen wore on me after a while. By the end of the game i

i loved red dead as a whole but i don’t know that i actually enjoyed the part where i played the game. The shooting was fun for a bit but by the end of chapter 6 and into the epilogues i hated every time another gunfight broke out. It’s a little ironic that my feelings on playing the game turning mirrored Arthur’s

a potentially huge change to the game concerning the ability of controller players being able to spam ADS button to aid in snapping to ranged targets has already been rolled back but other huge changes to the game include players now instantly getting 50 health/shield (depending on current health) per elimination as

i loved LTTP it’s still my favorite zelda but sadly never played this.  Looking forward to this.  Link Between Worlds was amazing on the 3ds and this looks in that same wheelhouse.

if fortnite can give us a way to thank the bus driver, respawn can find a way for us to be polite to each other.

This is the only gun in the game that I would rather be unarmed than have.  Earlier today I lost to a guy who melee’d me to death.  I’ve gotten kills with it but it was on stationary targets that had next to no health already.  I’m looking forward to the first weapon balance patch already.  Sadly the Mozambique was

Few things i’ve noticed too...
players seem incredibly more tanky than titanfall 2 especially with higher level shields so coordinating and focusing fire on a single target or targets that are vulnerable or in bad positions is gonna be the name of the game. Also, I found an option in the settings menu to show

are these all “bought this for my super bowl party and returned it on monday” tv’s?

titanfall 2 was so damn good.  This makes me sad to hear a sequel isn’t on the way.

i’m definitely still in the minority of parents i speak to as far has having a large amount of current gaming knowledge. most of them don’t actively play games themselves let alone the same ones as their kids. Fortnite is a weird cross section where it’s popular among kids but it’s also one of the biggest games out

I feel like fortnite is pretty comparatively tame compared to other shooters. No blood. The death animation is basically a player dissolving holodeck style and giant cartoon numbers fly off of people when they get hit.  My 10 year old has been asking me to teach her to play overwatch and the only thing that’s

Well put. I think the balance in interests and safety online is the most important thing for my wife and I. Our kids are all strong readers, they draw, play sports, some even are interested in music which is great because growing up in a single parent home I didn’t always have someone encourage me to spread my time

From my experience, at least on console, I’ll let my kids all play in squad games with randos as long as the voice chat is off and I’ll allow them to party chat with friends from school. My wife isn’t that into games so I’m the main curator and gatekeeper to the kinds of games they play. I try to maintain a balance

Question, I’m 36 with 3 kids in the similar age range. Do you let your kids play? I let mine but with the caveat of no voice chat and I set a time limit on it.  Just curious how other parents roll. Thanks!

Dude, I’m 36 and I think you sound old. I just watched someone’s recording of it on the fortnite subreddit with my 2 daughters. We all play the game and have seen several of the in game events so far.  We all loved it. If I had been home this afternoon I probably would experienced it live with all 3 of my kids but we

after the bombs fall, people like this will help us make contact with other survivors.

a year or so ago i was in tampa fl and there was a dude that was sitting in a self driving mercedes reading the paper and i freaked the fuck out.  My wife was driving at the time and i strongly urged her to get the hell away from that dude.
