There was only one tonal change that bugged me. The film was more divided in half rather than constantly shifting in tone. Which I didn’t mind too much, as I enjoyed each of the halves. It could have done with better editing, but it wasn’t a disasterous film.

There’s adaptation and then theres adaptation. Lifetime is missing a huge opportunity by not turning Macbeth or Titus Andronicus into a horror series, rather than Midsummer’s Night Dream. I don’t know how he’d feel about the adaptations of his life. Shakespeare was widely popular...not an anti-disestablishment punk

I think the fix is as easy as making his cloths dirty. Idris Alba can look dirty and worn. But not in a crisp white shirt. And not without a hat that’s been sweated through.

Medications like Tylenol are prescribed for more than just pain. I have a heart issue and was told to take Tylenol. I think that the Tylenol was a placebo (a placebo that worked nonetheless). But if pain killers are used commonly as placebos, then that could account for the high rate of people taking pain killers.

Batman forever was my favorite film as a kid. So corny. So over the top. So I’m Carrey

It was build long before I moved to London, so I don’t know. But the internet says it was part of a regeneration project. The area around the library is mostly new builds and post war building - at least to my untrained eye - so I’d imagine that whatever was there was bomb damaged or from the 60s.

The artist should do one of London’s Peckham Library

Honestly, unless some weird stuff starts happening, I don’t think it matters whether or not Britney is under conservatorship. She seems happy and healthy, and if it’s because she has someone controlling how she spends her money and time, then that’s fine. Control isn’t always a bad thing, especially if there is mental

Hook and Space Jam are the gems of my childhood. And, as someone who recently rewatched both, they are still brilliant. But remake? No.

This year is it’s first year in the U.S! It’s a UK invention started by Prince Harry, as Prince Harry is literally the nicest person in the world. I believe it’s only every other year, so this is only the second one.

I saw Lawrence of Arabia on TCM when I was a kid and ever since have had a deep and abiding love for him. So beautiful.

How do you vote for the Hugos? If I buy a membership to WorldCon now can I vote for the finalists?

I think it depends on the age of the youngest person. If you are in your very early twenties but are dating someone in their fourties, I’d be worried. But if you are fourty, you’re old enough to know what you’re getting yourself into.

THIS. Mars is great and all, but at the end of the day it’s a great big desert. Venus is so cool and so mysterious. More research please!

Boaty McBoatface is not a failure in democracy. It is a true democratic success.

Very true. I haven’t thought of someone that I thought really captured Crawley though. Head is good, but he was a bit too...slimy in School Reunion. I was thinking of someone like Cate Blanchett.

Anthony Head has always been my personal choice for Aziraphale

I believe there is a line drawn between a work and its adaptation. I remember when I read the Jungle Book, I was shocked by how racist it was. The film cut out a lot of the racist bits and turned it into a romp through the Jungle. Part of any adaptation is making a work fit modern sensibilities. I don’t think anyone

The argument against Sex Bots, at least for me, is convincing on two points. In the focus on fembots it’s reinforcing already sexist ideas about women. In media already, women are told they are to act a certain way, look a certain way, and think a certain way in order to please a man. The Sex Bots continues that
