I’m wondering how they were related? This wouldn’t just be random right?

This really bothers me...I’ve also read articles that said that when cheerleaders complain, other cheerleaders tell them how many women would kill to be underpaid eye candy for professional teams. Blows my mind.
I’m in the same boat as you about wanting a dog but not being VERY confident. Have you considered fostering? It would give you the opportunity to care for an animal full time but the shelter would pay for medical expenses while you wait to see if your finances check out.
In case this helps, I had horrible gall bladder pain in college. My surgery only took a week to recover from and now I’m all better. Totally worth it :)
I wish I was on my phone so I could just comment with the side eye emoji.
It’s so interesting to hear you say that about it being exclusionary. My best friends father passed away from cancer and I find it so offensive when people call cancer victims “warriors” and “fighters.” It makes it seem like my friend’s dad wasn’t “tough” enough or some how “quit” or made the decision not be there to…
I’ve heard that the best way to get out of the greys is to consistently start thought provoking threads (don’t JUST contribute to others) in addition to meaningfully contributing to other’s conversations. Good luck! I’ll keep recommending your posts when I see them!
I’ve never been so excited about a film this far in advance. Never even close.
I assumed that white women made maybe 85 cents to the dollar and black women made 70 cents or something like that and it was a weighted average based on population. All of this based of course off of a white man’s dollar.
I’m just speaking from my own experience as a well-intentioned person that did not know those percentages off hand. I thought the 77% figure was a combined figure that factored the average of all women including POC. What I didn’t factor in is that sometimes an average isn’t good enough especially when you’re coming…
Ok, I mean, we can never know people’s intentions truly and it’s just as possible that you’re right.
I’m guessing they know the 77% stat like most people and they didn’t think there was more to the story. Yes, we should all look deeper and not accept things at face value but yes we all still do it sometimes. Basically what I’m saying is I don’t think they consciously neglected the plight of others, otherwise they…
Credit for attempting to do a good thing. Maybe they are missing complete information, maybe if someone told them the full story they’d alter their stance. Honest ignorance doesn’t make people bad, it makes further education necessary.
Yikes, I’m really surprised by how judgmental people are being about this random dude they don’t know wearing the wrong kind of shorts. He’s an amazing person, identifies as feminist, owns his own “big boy” place, and loves me unconditionally. If ya’ll would be that worried about some ugly shorts then you’d miss out…
LOL like I would tell.
I totally believe you’re kidding but still feel the need to step up to defend my amazing, considerate, loving, kind-hearted, giving, mature, open his home to me while I grieve the sudden death of a close friend, really really fashion challenged boyfriend ;)
Pretty sure my easily aroused, basketball short wearing boyfriend should buy these.
I have several friends who have had abortions. They speak openly about it and they have never wavered that it was the right decision and none of them regret it at all.
The real question to me is how SAFE will transgendered people be within the ranks of the military (from fellow military personnel)
Thanks for the information. I always learn a ton from the comments on this site.
