As someone who has (sadly) used No Land Beyond an awful lot more than he should have, this dude is LEGIT.

Yeah, considering what a righteous pain in the ass opening the door to the Vault is sometimes (I usually 4 man that raid, since no one wants to do it anymore), getting into the Abyss is so blah.
Great observation on the checkpoints and branching paths in the Vault. Now that I think about it, Crota is ridiculously linear. Shit, even getting into the Vault can be somewhat of a challenge. Crota it's just like HERE'S THE DOOR JUST GO.
I want to look forward to this, but then I remember how fucking bland Elysium was.
I completely agree with this. The Vault demanded that you task your team with specific jobs to succeed, and that coordinated effort is what made running that raid so much fun. Crota is just a giant clusterfuck of adds - the beginning in particular. The biggest strategy is in the cheese. Not really looking forward to…
I completely agree. They don't understand that we cheese specifically because the game is so brazenly exploitative it's not worth playing the real way (in some instances).
Notable absences: patches to VoG, a level 32 VoG, tweaks to loot drops.
I don't disagree! You're essentially a professional biographer, and I think it's awesome. It's just...the way he talked about it, you'd think he was confessing to being a necrophiliac.
...but seriously, also keep looking for a new job. Obituary editor? Fuck that.
Xbox One. Completely backtracked on years of proven UI updates from the 360 era, stunning lack of games at launch, and a poorly functioning, mandatory Kinect to boot.
My team wiped 3x last night too - this one is impossibly hard. 4th try, I hung out on a top platform and popped headshots on the boss w/ an Icebreaker while the other two went below me and managed the adds. We beat it with that strategy.
It's a great thought - currently sitting at #1 on my list of guns to buy. Just stuck in the never ending grind for 150 crucible marks.
That guy is the same guy who would stand too close to the loot cave so nothing would spawn...in his level 32 form.
My tally for Found Verdict is somewhere in the 20's. It's not even funny anymore.
My team and I were running at that same pace up until 3 weeks ago. We cruise to Atheon and then get frustrated and go cheese Crota instead.
I'm driven by the fact that I have never gotten a legendary primary weapon to drop. Ever.
I haven't been able to run a hard VoG in weeks. The Atheon fight is 100% busted. Carrying detain shields into the time warp, Oracles not taking damage/glitching to all show up at once, the relic shield being completely useless outside of the warp, etc.
God, this review is so on point. I stopped reading to clap/wipe tears from my eyes several times.
I was in a raid group that did this on Tuesday. So much cheese.
I don't know, we did it Monday night in 65 minutes. It was insane. We had one guy hold the plate, two guys come into the portal with heavies, and still couldn't kill the Oracles. It was unreal.
