We can only hope they quickly evolve into a suicide cult.

Well, I now have my new euphemism for poo-poos.
A long time ago we adopted a dog named “Lucky.” We changed it when we got her home. When we took her for her first checkup, the vet said with a completely straight face and no indication that she was anything but totally serious, “I’m glad you changed her name. I’ve seen the worst things happen to dogs named ‘Lucky.’”
Why do I feel like all the wrong people get to make these decisions?
I was going to say something similar but then remembered I’m a Mariners fan and our mascot is a moose. So...
I decided a while ago to never make time for anything from the Kardashian brand. Welcome. Life is better here.
They do things differently in San Diego.
I have a sibling who used to work for Fox News. It was on in her house once when I was visiting (a different story) and Guilfoyle was on. I said, “She seems like she’s trying really hard to be ‘serious’.” My sibling retorted, “Oh, she’s an idiot. Like, really an idiot.”
That would suggest he’s gained sentience and is able to reflect on the absurdity of existence. Not sure I’m ready to welcome that possibility.
It was the dredging up of Tebow as a comparison that rankled. I don’t mean to suggest that legit criticism across racial lines should be forbidden. My radar has been especially sensitive of late. Middle-aged white dudes (I am among that throng) would do well to realize their comments are under intense scrutiny…
If memory serves, you voted against it TWICE. But memory might not serve. I moved here in ‘99 right after the stadium opened.
It can be two things! Maybe it’s the moment we are in but every time I hear a noisy, white, sports dude call out a black player (especially over a nothing like this) I can't help but thing there is some racial bias involved.
“I have no comment.” Immediately comments. Tom Brady, everybody!
This whole quote is unbelievable “play the right way” bullshit:
For safety’s sake, yes.
Hand on heart for the anthem is not required. That’s the Pledge of Allegiance. I also hate taking my hat off in the 7th inning for an Irving Berlin tune, but I do it to avoid the ignorant wrath of citizens such as the woman in this article. And because I’m a coward.
This has long bugged me about GMG in general. A lot of the time I have no idea what/who I’m looking at in a photo. I, too, would enjoy the benefit of photo captions used regularly.
At the very least, they treat the women in their lives like shit by pulling this at work and then going home to be “good family men” or whatever. It’s gross, but not entirely surprising in an organization run by a bunch of powerful men who look after the interests of other powerful men. And I say this as a Mariners…
Years ago I read an essay that suggested every time you see the phrase “family values” you substitute it with “white people.” It works! And it can be easily amended to substitute “House Freedom Caucus” with “Rich White Guys.”
Not in a white top!
