Right. The RS is or was an appearance package.
Right. The RS is or was an appearance package.
That’s what I mean. Chevy at least gave the Cobalt SS a special engine—supercharged or later turbocharged, where as BMW is not.
To be fair, that car at least had an upgraded powertrain that was not available in standard trims.
Unlike what Chevy is doing with RS badging..
Unless I’m reading it wrong, though, they need an active OnStar sub.. which heh.. how many people keep?
I mean if you ignore the costs of R&D for new models, building out new sales and repair facilities, new assembly lines—I think the Model S has been a profitable vehicle with decent margins for quite some time.
What if I’m short?
As someone who enjoys being outdoors AND breathing I don’t understand the fight against CARB.
Are they likely a bloated government agency? Probably.
Will tax money be wasted with them arguing against a federal government who wants to slash regulations? Probably.
Did they overestimate the negative effects of emissions?…
You mean we live in a world where everyone will fly #Southwest?
Nah, you overestimate the average person. We live in a world where we’re racing to the bottom because everyone wants the cheapest everything. Companies have shown they are routinely willing to sacrifice quality to make things cheaper to drive more sales…
Oh, I agree wholeheartedly that they are a while away. I’ve been tooting that horn for a long time. As a developer, there are too many variables, too many intangibles, too many what-ifs, too many situations that I can’t fathom how they would expect, prevent, or make a good realtime decision about. We can’t even…
Ah, the good ol “I haven’t done it in my (very limited/narrow) set of experiences, so the fact that it happened to some system somewhere that encounters millions of different scenarios than mine must be complete trash!”
The uber systems (and other autonomous systems) have already far exceeded what you have done in 20…
The fuck would you buy this when you can just get a used CTS-V wagon?
I can’t believe I just watched all ten minutes of that.
I do not see vehicles missing LEDs quite often. One of the cluster may not be working, but it isn’t relevant to the whole.
There are other trucks/trailers that have already adopted them.
Yeah? You can say the same thing for cars. LEDs are superior.
You have Jeep for that.
Autopilot isn’t going to remove anyone from the road anytime soon.
It may be able to automate driving a truck around the yard at distribution centers, but not from the road. That is still a considerable ways out.
This is SOP in any large city in the US. Do you want to encourage a high speed chase and casualties?
I don’t know why this type of thing is really a surprise to anyone, and why there needs to be a sensationalist story every time it happens.
I was visiting my dad’s in the winter in my honda s2000. It had new’ish Pilot Super Sports (Summer sport tires). I was driving back letting the tail hang out around the hills and people were stuck in their driveways and giving me the “You’re batshit insane” stares.
You wouldn’t download a car
