If you equip a Soul equally to the Jeep tested it comes out to about the same price
That’s driver error. If you can’t see that, I question your driving ability.
Why would they use this? The Chrysler parts bin HVAC controls are actually really nice!
Worse: it had a four-speed auto.
You mean a horrible 4-speed auto.
It was political. Someone had an axe to grind at the NHTSA, or someone leaned on the NHTSA, I don’t remember which.
And why is this only for ZJs and WJs? What about every other vehicle with a gas tank in that location made since the dawn of time? The whole things is pretty crazy if you ask me.
Sure, a good chunk of the money we invested went nowhere, but think of all the things DARPA invested in before they got the Internet. One Tesla is worth it. If we can invest the other $16.6 billion and get another Tesla I say it's a good investment.
I'd say Honda, wasn't it evident in that test with the CR-V?
the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee features a 35.8-degree approach angle, a 29.6-degree departure angle and 23.5-degree breakover angle.
Not trail rated...should have asked for the Off-Road Group II with skid plates and smaller wheels. Only real Jeeps are trail rated Jeep's
Goth the 2011 JGC. I off-road almost every 2 weekends - ok, desert BBQ with the occasional wadi . The front dumper can HAS to be removed, so I removed it for the entire off-road season. Removing it is easy, a few quarter-turn plastics screws, but putting it back is a real bitch - plus you loose the damned screws.
You are thinking of the Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee comes with an 8-speed
How much do you really save when you cut a $1 part out of an important system in a car?
Why? That an arbitrary thing to tax, why not number of windows instead?
1st Gear - Why is it that every time there is a "Crisis" the solution that EVERYONE goes to is Increase Taxes!?!?
way to fucking stupid
You don't commit to seven-year contracts for cars you aren't building. Aluminum is the new steal.
I'm not surprised, I've been shopping for a new truck, and the Ram 1500 is a much better deal than the F150. I don't care about payload or towing capacity or even gas mileage, just creature comforts, a healthy V8 and a reasonable price. Dodge has Ford beat by $10K.
