Yeah the “Batman started out really dark but then the evil comics code came” narrative has always been pretty false.    I don’t have a dark Batman story but it’s been overdone so much.   It’s why Batman: Brave and the Bold was so great.   Campy Batman is as much a part of the DNA as the whole brooding Dark Knight…

I don’t see anything very dark in early Batman comics. There’s like a handful of gun useages in a few 30s stories and people pretend somehow it’s super noir, extra hardboiled, and dark as fuck. It isn’t. It’s mostly Kane being a lazy piece of shit and ripping off other artists several times a page.

Arizona heat is no joke when it comes to car batteries. One day the batt in my everyday car was fine, the next it was dead as Trump’s brain.
