Chinese battery companies CATL (300750.SZ), opens new tab and Gotion High Tech (002074.SZ), opens new tab should be added immediately to an import ban list, a group of Republican lawmakers said, alleging their supply chains use forced labour, the Wall Street Journal reported.

I am not 100% sure I am on board with buying a Stellantis product but I am tempted to consider the new Wagoneer EV since it is completely different from the hugely inefficient, poorly designed, and way too large ICE Wagoneer. I love the way it looks, the size (similar to a Jeep Grand Cherokee), the decent range and

I couldn’t agree more on the runflats. As soon as my X5 diesel wore out its original shoes, I replaced them with Conti Extremecontact DWS tires and haven’t looked back. They are quiet, handle much better in all situations, and yield another 1-3 mpg, especially on the highway. I recommend them to all friends and family

Thank you! I can easily say the same thing about you. I am thinking about selling my M5 for a smaller, lighter car (I have two other large 4-door daily drivers) and the M2 and M240 are on my short list. I would love to someday restomod a 240Z! Another one of my dreams is to create a 22B replica from a GC Impreza

I loved my Spec.B and regret selling it 10 years ago. With modest track mods, it was the best car I had and that is saying a lot since I restored an E39 M5 over the pandemic. I might be in the sheer minority but I find the E39 M5 a bit overrated (too heavy to be a track or weekend car) and not as much fun as a Spec.B

I had a 2005 LGT with the 5eat and I traded it in for a 2008 Spec.B with the 6-speed manual and I guess the 2nd gear ratio in the 6-speed (is low enough) to allow for that low-end torque. With that said, I recall swapping the downpipe and reflashing to stage 2 within a week or so of purchasing the Spec.B so that

I think you forgot to put only the word “billions” in quotes because my guess is that Trump needs every bit of that $400K/year presidential pension to avoid plunging completely into debt.

I guess if one spends all that money on so many high-quality fancy exterior decorations, they might not have enough left over to keep the parking brake in good shape.

I like the idea of direct injection combined with the fairly large displacement. One thing that made the EJ25 so great was the extra displacement to ensure the engine was not dead off the line before building up exhaust pressure and turbo boost. It was fairly easy to start in second gear with plenty of torque on tap

There is a fine line between liking something and obsession.  It’s ok to like Big Macs and to eat one every once in awhile but if you’re eating several of them per week you have a problem!

Hah, I guess you are correct.  Some may even prefer the smelly ones...

I am an old EJ257 veteran and was always amazed at how much extra power and torque could be unlocked with a Stage 2 tune (high performance down pipe + AP tune) and how much more usable the power and torque delivery was. For less than $2K and a couple of hours of wrenching (most of the time spent breaking the bolts on

People who go barefoot on the airplane or who wear socks and walk to the bathroom are extremely disgusting. Socks are a great way to soak up all the pee/poo liquid on the bathroom floor and track it back to their seat and into their shoes.  But at least that only affects them.

Before brokers, I would do all of my test drives first at whatever dealer was closest and had the car I wanted in stock and all serious inquiries and negotiations were conducted via email and later by phone so I could just walk in, sign some paperwork, fend off the asshole financial manager and their “windshield wiper

I believe that can be circumvented if the vehicle is leased which is the only way I can see myself getting into an EV because the tech will become dated (and less valuable) much more quickly than ICE vehicles.

Equinox EV Dimensions - 191″ L x 77″ W x 65″ H

Aside from being wrong-wheel drive, how does this differ from the Blazer EV? They are both around the same size and look similar, so what else is different?

I really like the look of this and the Lyriq, which a better-sized vehicle for me but I can’t help but think about how awkward my dealership experience was 10 years ago when test driving an ATS 2.0 6MT. The sales rep was clearly trained to sell to older people and certainly not younger people or enthusiasts. I recall

This is a terrible idea that was probably a cost-savings measure. I live in an almost rural area with little to no street lighting so I use my fog lights on a regular basis and I have come to find that the rear parking lights on my A7 are a great way to get tailgaters to back off without having to do something unsafe

If safety is the deciding factor, there are many cars from before 2010 that are incredibly unsafe, such as the Nissan Sentra, not to mention vehicles from he 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's from non luxury manufacturers. While I personally would restrict use of Kei vehicles to non-highway roads due to their lack of
