There’s not much dishing in I’m Your Huckleberry, the chapters of which are organized by roles: Jim Morrison, Real Genius Chris Knight, Top Gun’s Tom “Ice Man” Kazansky, Tombstone’s Doc Holliday, and The Island Of Dr. Moreau’s Dr. Montgomery, among others.

The funniest entry on this list has to be the Disney wildlife doc The Vanishing Prairie, banned for showing a buffalo giving birth. Truly the sort of prurient, subversive content that will destroy our moral fiber as a nation.

I think its fascinating that even 1915 people knew Birth of a Nation was racist. And it did more then glorify the Klan.  It brought them back from the grave and made them more powerful, it also created all there iconography.  Cross burnings was not something the 1870s Klan did, the film made it up and the 1920s Klan

Cocoon is a very old favorite of mine (I always watched it a lot when I was a kid, for some reason), but because no one else is probably going to mention it, I’ll say that my favorite role of Brian Fucking Dennehy’s is as Django, Remy’s dad in ‘Ratatouille’.

I assumed from the movie the real estate agent had everything cleaned up in order to sell the apartment for the highest value. It was a nice place and you don't necessarily want it to get out that there was a ton of dead murdered bodies in there.

I never once got the feeling that any of it was in Bateman’s head. The film’s conclusion, it seemed to me, suggested that the people on the fringes of Bateman’s world (real estate agents, etc), were basically colluding to allow this kind of horror to continue in the interests of a misogynist plutocracy. But that was

There is no reason to read the book more than once, and with Bret Easton Ellis antics within the last few years, not sure you should read any of his books.

I don’t think that the movie definitively says the murders were just in Bateman’s head, but there is that possibility. The book is very clear that the murders are real and goes into gory details about them (which is why I and many people found the book off-putting). I find the movie a much more pleasant experience and

He also sodomized her. And there have been several woman who have come forward and said he did the same to them when they were girls. He’s an absolute pos.

US Customs isn’t letting in Canadians who admit they’ve smoked legal marijuana (even when crossing into states where it’s also legal to possess it). Imagine in the same customs line letting in a devious child rapist because, you know, it was like a long time ago man.

I’m not French, but I did see Les Miserables.  It’s a fine movie, one of those cop dramas which touches upon police brutality and racism, all those popular hot-button issues which play well to the Cesar and Oscar people apparently.  It didn’t stir me like Portrait, and frankly, I wouldn’t hold most movies to that

Okay, that the more I watch it, the more badass the Adele Haenel walkout becomes. I also love how the camera just keeps it on her, the director not even making a passing attempt to hide what is happening.

I do. But people will just say that these are different times. Attitudes change.

Does anyone else remember 17 years ago when Roman Polanski and The Pianist won Academy Awards? Is my memory failing me when I think that most of the Hollywood chatter back then was how unfair it was that Polanski couldn’t come to the US to receive his honors due to a case that even his victim wanted dropped?

Martin Scorsese thinks you aren’t cinema.

Is it because Billie Eilish sings so slowly?

Now you’ve done it, you just made David Lean cry.......

“This Bond movie is too short!” complained no Bond fan, ever.

IMDb says Thunderball is 2hrs 10mins, but I’m certain it’s closer to 10hrs 2mins.
