I thought I had this one too with the 2012 Exige... it showed the world that Lotus was still Lotus (with more umph) and not the Bahar Lotus that we all dreaded.

It'd probably be a little more expensive thanks to the sheer number of LCDs in production compared to eInk displays (let alone tiny ones like this), but feasibility doesn't mean it would have been done by now. Brandon Cassata said it very well, so I won't reiterate that.
