I always thought the same as you and thought that hacking was a much more technical act, but one of my textbooks this semester defines hacking as something like "unauthorized access, or access in excess of authority..." and my professor affirmed this definition, so I have less of a problem with it.

Maybe that's it, but I didn't grow up in any special cars. I didn't even know much about cars even just several years - well maybe a little more, but my childhood had little to do with cars, aside from random Matchbox cars.
