Plan before your spend. I'm giving myself a weekly allowance for minor stuff, which I ncarry in cash. When I run out, it means I overspent. Then I have a credit card account for the monthly stuff, and a savings account for the yearly stuff.

Browsers shoudln't require extensions. I like Opera because most of the stuff I need is built-in, no need for extensions.
