Their is an opportunity cost to everything. Tesla has focusing on its automotive division, which gave much better bang for buck than solar.

They did that shit to me in 2018. In fact, right after Hurricane Maria, they actually donated my Powerwall to Puerto Rico, and made me wait NINE MONTHS before they had one for me.

Branson experienced brief “zero gravity” because his “spaceship” was falling towards earth just like you would if you jumped out of a plane.

If Porsche finds out about your widget they’ll make it a $3000 option.

Yeah, I don’t think it was the horsepower that made the classic muscle and pony cars dangerous, it was that there was simply no way to stop them.

What? An annualized 72k cars a year isn’t exactly a lot of vehicles. 11k 911s is definitely not.

That was one of the things I remember seeing back when Toyota was getting all the “unintended acceleration” complaints. Modern ABS brakes apply something on the order of 500+ hp of stopping force - in a Camry. Basically, they have enough power to slow the car to a stand still from 60mph to 0 while the engine is at

It’s fucking weird is what it is

Nothing else about this entire incident is really relevant imho.

It’s also not that good at being a track toy. If it can run 3:20 at Le Mans, it is only a small amount faster than LMP2 cars that have a huge  power and downforce deficit. An LMP2 would arguably be the better choice as a track toy if you really want that kind of performance(3G is a range where it is possible to be not

So, I get the “regular” road going Valkyrie... but the AMR Pro? That’s just pointless if they don’t actually enter it into competition. You can’t drive this thing anywhere that isn’t a circuit, but then it also doesn’t meet the requirements to be entered into official competition? Huh? We all know that in practice most

The more interesting comparison would be against LMP2 cars, which are available for purchase to anyone. They run 3:25 at Le Mans, and are likeley closer on a less power-sensitive track, and cost 1/6th of the Valkyrie, so it would arguably be the better choice to buy one and then have a sportscar race team run your

You’ve been taken in by marketing wank my friend. This is a twin disc differential same as on so many cars include Toyota, Honda, Ford, etc. They are good systems for a lot of reasons and applications but this isn’t any more special than any other save for optimizations like engagement times and control logic.

I’m probably reading *way* too much into this, but his demeanor seems different this year. And it just so happens that they are under real pressure finally, and have had multiple errors recently. He’s come across as laid back and very affable previously, but the frustration is coming through.

*Bottas stops 15mm outside the designated area for a pitstop, 3 out of 4 wheel gunners have no problem*

The Blancpain Series (is it still called that? It’s been a few years since I’ve watched) seems to do just fine splitting classes solely by driver skill level.

That’s historically been WEC, which for some reason IMSA has a difficult time understanding. Part of the whole reason why GTE Pro and GTE Am exists is that you have mostly professional drivers in GTE Pro and for GTE Am yeah there are drivers that are very much professional but you have teams such as Proton Racing

The problem is partly the ACO’s dogshit driver ratings. It would be entirely possible to win overall with an “Am” lineup with the way ACO insists some laughably overqualified drivers are “low tier”. The ACO sucks so bad.

GT3 prices and participation ARE under control. The problem is that the much more expensive (non-amateur friendly) GTLM cars also exist, and they can’t just banish them without warning.
