It’s a neat idea, but I can’t see myself spending that kind of money on one. I can get a harbor freight 2500 lb atv winch, a deep cycle marine battery and a battery charger for less. Less portable? You bet. More versatile? Yup. or if Im lazy and plan on just using it around the shop, a Warn EzPull AC powered shop

I think Raph has been struck by the same bug as me where I constantly forget that 2020 is over and it’s 2021 already. Just add one year to all of those dates.

Right? I can see in Russell’s in-car video the Williams chassis was riding on Bottas’ halo for quite a distance.  Bottas’ life was definitely saved by the halo.

Ex.Actly.

Damn, if I knew it was that easy...

As someone on “the list” for a Daytona, I can see winning a race being the easier way to get one, but they don’t even give the winning race drivers a steel model, they give them the precious metal models that they have a harder time moving. My AD came through with a BLNR last year after a 6 month wait and all but

I think you are onto something...

... until the GT3 RS comes out.

The ship has been interned by a belligerent foreign power. Based on my understanding of The Sea, the honorable thing would be for the crew to scuttle the Ever Given rather than let it fall into enemy hands.

That is not even remotely true.

Those airplanes are always newsworthy, therefore any crashes or mishaps will always get a lot of attention that usually would only be given to big airliners.
General aviation (small private planes) accidents and mishaps usually do not get any attention unless they involve someone famous or if it by chance affect a lot

That attitude isn’t “eat the rich” enough for this site.

It still is facelifts for porsche, changed engines or not, it is normal for every VW AG brand to do. Engines change completely within a simple facelift. .1 and .2 are

Dude, it already exists and it’s called the Ferrari Drivers Challenge.

The “GT3 RSR” doesn’t even have the engine in the correct place. it’s in the back seat.

I mean, I’ve gone for 14 years now, my crew includes people who have been going since 1993 and there’s enough documentation before that going back to the first Black Rock Desert Cacophany Society Zone Trips in 1990/91 so that a huge fuckin’ airliner based ten wheel truck would have gotten some mentions and pictures,

“Business is bad? F you, pay me.
Had a fire? F you, pay me.”
F1 is like the mob. They take all the TV money, the merch licensing, and still expect to get a big payment from every venue no matter how boring the racing might be or how broken the rules are, pissing off the fans.

Yeah, exactly. Why add to the stress when you’re already task-saturated just learning to keep the wings level? Adding in lots of comm and keeping your head on a swivel for traffic is a lot for a new student.

I learned at an uncontrolled field, and when I started instructing it was out of towered fields. The airspace here in southern CT is far enough away from NYC that training isn’t an issue due to traffic density. But when I was instructing at White Plains NY... that sucked. Learning to fly in the Bay Area must be

MRY? I didn’t think there were any flight schools there.
