Low and slow is not the killer if you stay wings level; not advised but it’s not imminent death. It was the steep turn that developed into a stall/spin (without enough altitude to recover) that did them in. I’d guess this is because the pilot was trying to circle the boats and lost situational awareness. What amazes

For comparison Ford’s range topping 4.6 made 390 horsepower, was likely cheaper, and the timing bits looks like this to work on:

Seriously? That is, oddly, pretty cool.
Any chance there is an old article on how THAT happened?

miss opportunity for a slideshow, imo

We stand outside the car for that one :)

Thanks, I always get that backwards for some reason. I think it's that a low gear has a high ratio and vice versa.

Probably a molskine notebook with a few sketches with a hand written annotation saying “LS7 goes here” with an arrow pointing at the back of the car.

I don’t know who shouldn’t have a license, but I know some people who shouldn’t own a website.

F1 subreddit is getting on my nerves too. You’re downvoted to oblivion for daring to dismiss the embellishments of DTS and actually enjoy the damned show.

Another Tesla hit piece from Jalopnik. You wouldn’t even be writing about a car being locked to a Supercharger if it weren’t a Tesla! I haven’t seen a single post on Jalopnik about other cars locked to Tesla Superchargers.

BMW dumbed the traction and stability control down to below retard levels for North America. I have Euro version coded and I can get sideways if I REALLY want to with traction on. MDM will let me hold drifts if I so desire.

My local mountain bike trails are probably some of the more high consequence you’ll find, but they don’t worry me at all in comparison to road riding. Mountain biking gets this “extreme” sport reputation, but its so much less scary than road riding with all the terrible and distracted drivers on the road.

Hi. ‘65 Mustang owner (since 1983! Still in my garage) and mechanical engineer here.

There’s no real good place to anchor a shoulder belt on a ‘65 Mustang hardtop coupe, owing to the absence of a full-height B-pillar and roof rails not designed to take that kind of load mid-span. I could probably come up with some

All vehicles must meet stringent crash safety standards and all occupants under the age of 18 must wear seatbelts. Additionally, side curtain airbags must be installed to prevent injury in a crash

It’s not lawyering, it’s engineering. Engineers know one thing about “legal crap” which is to use the world SHALL whenever they want something to be done.

Are they at a price point of a 4 door wrangler sport than can do dirty hill climbs in 4 low for 12 hours without an issue.

If the cars are ok, you can sell them to international exporters as well.

Sell them to wholesalers at auction.

There were some really good contenders there.

Im guessing they do as well, but I don't think there are many Russian American football players. And since it isn't an individual focused sport, like the Olympics or F1 in this instance, the athletes typically don't "fly a flag" of their nationality on their uniforms.
