Yep absolutely. Side note, all these replies from such an old post really threw me.

Do what should have been done for the BRZ? Man, I could get behind that!
You have to stick to stick sports only
Seeing how Jalopnik gets invited to all the good press launches and gets all the good press cars, I think I’ll pass.
Holy shit this writing is too good to published in the gawker universe. Everything here was well put without hyperbole and underhanded political jabs. Beth for Editor of Jalopnik as well!
Changing a tire is one thing I still bring into the shop every single time. I’ve built cars and engines from scratch, but that is a nope on investing in the equipment to change a tire. Motorcycles are about as much as I handle, and forget about doing split rim trucks.
I’m amazed you are the only one to point this out. Over 300 comments. Not a single one about increasing roll stiffness just on the rear on a car that is much lighter (I think 200 lbs according to a comment by Bradley below) in the rear than the one it is coming off of. Nothing can possibly go wrong.
I haven’t yet. I am a little behind on TST. Still going through the Andrew Collins one. Since I don’t have my normal commute, I get limited listening time.
Robb, nice to see your contributions back here! Can’t wait to catch your coverage of the rest of the event. Also saw the Corvette go off on BaT. Hopefully we see that crazy car back on the hill with its future owner
Yea it is absolutely heartbreaking to already see my Newf going grey. We saw another one on a walk and he was so old, after sitting down, the owner had to pick his back end up. So far our big girl hasn’t really slowed down and still has a lot of puppy behavior, so it makes me hopeful for the future.
What kind of puppies? And what you said is all true. Our Newf pup grew at an incredible rate over 6 months. Favorite thing on the street, “Oh wow look at those paws, I hope you know your dog is going to be big.” No shit guy, I got a Newf specifically for that, thanks for the lecture though.
Will do. We’re prepared with multiple contingencies. Always in our family safety first, property second. Everything is replaceable.
These kind of people. We all now know their names and faces. Someone in the comments was nice enough to doxx them so people can check up on their houses to make sure everything is ok
This one is really tough because of the inaccessible terrain, huge canopy cover and amount of smoke. Its been mostly hand crews out there with sporadic helicopter support. Nothing like up north where they can get tanker 944 (a converted 747) in.
I’m guessing they are betting on Ferrari being good after the next rules change. If Ferrari becomes the next Mercedes, then Hass becomes baby Ferrari and could enjoy podiums. That is why they are signing on. I’d be eager to see if they make any organizational changes. Leadership through fear rarely works.
It is insane how much I notice very small changes in weight, admittedly on dirt bikes. But comparing my wife’s WR to my YZ is night and day in the corners
I’ve been going over to The Drive, R&T (sometimes complete garbage takes), and motortrend.

I’m so happy to say I was wrong. What a great car this one turned out to be!
