You must not know much about Android app availability. I've had both an iPhone and an Android phone. I'm much happier with the Android for many reasons, and aside from a small handful of iOS exclusive games, I've found Android apps to do just about anything and everything I could want.

Once again, another reason to purchase devices that allow for open platforms. You don't need Daddy Apple's permission to install anything on your Android phone. Yes, you can "jailbreak" Apple devices, but with Android devices it's not necessary. You just enable third-party sources, which is as easy as checking a box —

Perhaps you've missed the purpose of the "Discussion" portion of Kotaku. End of discussion.

The only "curse" here is the always-online requirement. There's a rumor, and it is just a rumor at this point, that the console will cease functioning after 3 minutes of no internet connectivity.

If you don't think it's an "attack," then it's likely you didn't read the whole article. This is not just someone stating a preference. The second sentence helps set the stage:

I can't help but feel that you're being intentionally blind. You say you want more variety than Halo and CoD as if there isn't a TON more variety. I own a lot of games, and the vast majority share very little in common with CoD or Halo. There are tons of platformers, JRPGs, western RPGs, adventures, hack-and-slash,

It is indeed a sort of "attack." I don't even like Call of Duty to be honest, I don't own but one of the games in the entire series...

This post was well-written dribble. An interesting read, but ultimately just the ranting of a disgruntled ex-employee.

Yes, the fact she's 15 does make it even worse, even though it's only arbitrary... they could easily claim she's a young-looking 21... either way, nothing really changes except the fantasy lore.

That's precisely the problem. She was designed to look like a pre-pubescent female, and then given a bikini. In what context does that make any sense whatsoever? Why would anyone ever dress like that and then conduct combat?

I haven't even considered buying this game. The always-online DRM, once again transparently disguised as beneficial "connectivity," is a deal-breaker.

I can say that "proof of insurance" is not always clearly defined in the laws, and in the state where I practice law enforcement, some officers accept an electronic version while some won't. I'm willing to look at a driver's e-mailed copy of an insurance card on their phone or tablet device, but a fellow officer I

Looks kinda cool.. never noticed this one on the PSP. But please, could someone release a patch for that ridiculous outfit of what appears to be the main character. There is no reasonable, sensible reason a character would run around conducting combat in what is basically a bikini.

It's absolutely no surprise whatsoever that the majority of the Kotaku article authors are quite liberal/democrat, and they make it very transparent. Straight-white-male self-hatred articles, anti-gun articles, anti-republican articles...

There's a big diference between being connected most of the time, and FORCING you to stay connected to use applications that don't need the connection.

[Begin Microsoft propaganda]

As usual, the continual proclamations of the "death of..." whatever. PC gaming is dying, console gaming is dying, JRPGs are dying, the sun is dying...

Any sort of mandatory online DRM implemented into the console itself will mean that I'll be buying the PS4 first, and perhaps not the Microsoft console ever. If I do get MS's new online console, it'd be well after a significant price drop, and I'll prefer all of my cross platform games on PS4.

King's Quest was such a pivotal franchise in the gaming industry. It's hard to find any big PC gamer from the time period who doesn't fondly remember at least one of the titles in this series. For me, KQV was the big one. While VI was awesome too, I don't think the series ever hit the same high note as V.

This is a "hot-button" issue that really shouldn't be. The mere statistically presence of one gender or lack of one gender has many possible causes/correlations which may have nothing to do with sexism.
