I have to admit that I'm always a bit skeptical of companies releasing their own "self-policing" tools. How much can you trust Facebook's own Privacy Checker to truly check your privacy levels? What does Facebook consider a privacy issue vs. what you consider a privacy issue? I'd still much rather trust third party

This silly play on words is just that: silly. I was part of an organization that believed the term "Christian" had gotten a bad reputation, and so I was chastised for calling one of them a "Christian;" he said he wasn't a Christian, but that he was a "follower of Christ." After a short conversation in which I

We not only want you (and all journalists) to have integrity and transparency, we also want games journalists to stop fixating on a small number of trolls and acting as if these trolls define gamers, or define even this movement for transparency. If 1000 people are holding a peaceful protest, and 10 people from the

This obsessive focus on a small minority of internet trolls is either an obviously intentional attempt to avoid the real discussion, or a rather dense unintentional failure to recognize the real issues at stake here. Journalistic integrity is a HUGE issues, and not just in gaming. Journalism has become a welcome haven

First, I'm going to repeat something others have said, but it's coming from a place of true love for Lifehacker as a website — you guys are awesome!

I have to say I prefer the Logitech G710+. All mechanical keys, a full keyboard with number pad, single-use F-key row, media keys, super key disabler, additional G-row of keys, multiple profiles w/ keys, illumination with brightness settings or arrow/WASD only lighting, and a volume control roll knob. It comes with a

While coffee does have a lot more caffeine than green tea, green tea also contains caffeine — it is not caffeine-free.

I'm curious, does this "true gamer" line of thinking of yours thus demand that a true gamer must buy every platform that has exclusives? Each console has exclusives, and so does the PC.

Good for her. I have to imagine that it can be a pretty stressful and difficult job. There's only so much a woman can stand around looking pretty before it gets old and boring.

Always great wallpapers on these posts. I still prefer Korean racequeens though... my wife doesn't mind, she's also Korean.

I despise Microsoft's flagship product for what it is and how it functions. I think Windows 8 is the most stable version yet, despite poor GUI choices. I have spent two decades using both Mac OS and Windows...

No. Just no. No one has ever "learned" a language in 22 hours, nor in a week, nor a month. You are still learning your primary language right now, and you may very well not even qualify as a Superior speaker on the ACTFL testing scale.

As long as Microsoft does not exclude other services from distributing their content on Windows 8 (services like Steam, Desura, GoG, etc), then I don't see the Windows Marketplace being a problem.

My computer had an Apple sticker on it. Thus, it was Apple-labeled.

Negative. Legally purchased copies of OS X were always used. Still have the discs.

This has limited utility considering that most student loan programs I know default to a 10-year payoff scale, unless you change it based on income, job loss, or other hardship-deferment.

I think you've misunderstood. Of course we shake hands with lots of people, but what we're saying is that most people don't put a lot of value on the kind of handshake you give/receive. The only handshake I ever notice is if they do something out of the ordinary — but then it's just standing out for being weird.

I've always considered the handshake overrated and its importance exaggerated. It's one of those things where only a small subset of people focus on it, and then everyone else doesn't give a sh&*

Congratulations. My wife and I moved in a year ago, and it's been a LOT of work getting everything the way we want it. We have much more to do, too.

Followed the guide, and it landed on the paid service that I currently use.
