I think you should maybe stick to documentaries and dispense with fiction altogether if realism is this important to you.

I'd love a female Doctor, but after Moffat leaves. I do not want to see his version of a female Doctor.

I watched the announcement with my 14 year old niece who has very much enjoyed swooning over Matt Smith and was praying for someone hot, and as soon as Capaldi stepped out she went, "Ooh, he's cute for an old guy!"

@avclub-5c6ca78a2f7d9b4db3d3bb67614ffa00:disqus Dancy's performance in that scene (and in every scene honestly) is indeed fantastic.

I can't thank you guys enough for this interview. I've been going through serious Hannibal withdrawal and this definitely helps. I could read Bryan Fuller discussing this show forever.

Exactly. He's not a cruel person, but he's sickened by the fact that he can put himself in the shoes of people who are.

I was thinking one of the forensics team, because by the time Abigail died, Alana didn't really fit into that "no one would care" description. Or maybe that's just my love for Alana talking.

Michael Shannon is my dream Dollarhyde, but that's sadly never going to happen.

This is a list of the extras on the Hannibal DVDs/blu-rays (according to Entertainment Weekly):

@avclub-0527c4449619569cd565d724216aea04:disqus Actually, Fuller has mentioned that he's interested in Freddie being a possible ally of Will's next season, so I'm all for her particular brand of relentlessness.

Can't we have both?

I'm most looking forward to Will Graham saving himself. (Okay, maybe with a little help from Alana, Bev, and Freddie.)

I'm absolutely thrilled to hear that there'll be even more Alana Bloom next season. I hope we'll get more of her back-story, because she's so interesting but we hardly know anything about her life. But the character has so much warmth, intelligence, and integrity. And Caroline is such a great actress and has fantastic

The image of Hannibal shoving the ear down Will's throat with a fondue fork is both horrifically disturbing and somehow hilarious. I wouldn't expect anything less from Fuller.

I think that Franklyn had romantic feelings for Tobias that he was repressing because Tobias clearly wasn't into it. Hannibal even asks him if he desires Tobias sexually at one point and Franklyn awkwardly denies it and says that he "tried things" in college when he was in a fraternity.

Hugh Dancy is the cutest person on the planet. And Bryan Fuller is the king of sexual innuendo. (Seriously people, watch the Nerd HQ panel, it is a delight.)

I know, right? If this is what happens when things are rushed, I think the second season is going to kill me.

@avclub-eb058ced22520c3a8f4e4a6e2fb16403:disqus  "I'll also point out that I reread Red Dragon after watching the first season, and Will spends most of the novel all but obsessing about the victims of the serial killer he's chasing, getting to know them as human beings and developing a profound sorrow over their

There are some surface similarities between Luther and Hannibal (very dramatic stories, a tortured, well-acted lead), but Hannibal is the better show by far. Hannibal is much more surreal, poetic, and mournful. And Luther is far too concerned with procedural aspects. Where I'd call Hannibal beautiful, I'd just call

YAY, I've been very excited for this!
