“ronny/lily” without question. The moment it finished, I skipped right back and watched it again. The finale, “berkman > block” is probably my second favorite, but it's close.

The most egregious snub for me: Sarah Goldberg should’ve been nominated for Barry. Anthony Carrigan and Stephen Root too, but Sarah Goldberg blew me away this season.
Bill Hader was the only actor from Barry mentioned in the opening paragraphs.
I did, and Bill Hader was the only one mentioned there. The rest of the cast are excellent and certainly deserve to be here.
Agreed. "ronny/lily" deserved all the awards for everything.
Henry Winkler was so funny and heartbreaking, too! They gave him a lot more to work with this season and it was just brilliant.
For me, that distinction goes to Bill Hader in Barry, but Jeremy Strong was so, SO beyond incredible this season, too. His performance is consistently the best thing about Succession, and everything about that show is pretty damn great, so that’s saying something.
Yup. The lack of anyone from Barry on this list is shocking. It was also the best thing that aired in 2019, imo. (Aside from maybe Fleabag, but those two are neck and neck.)
Yesss, I love The Left/Right Game! It’s so well-written and weirdly beautiful. Existential, cosmic horror is my favorite.
That Bill Hader story was great, and so were his scenes on Barry. Super dark and hilarious interplay with Stephen Root.
Barry and Fleabag (and all the actors involved with them) should win everything. It’s too bad that they’re in competition for some categories, because they both really deserve to win.
The Americans is the perfect choice, but my pick might actually be The Office using “Tiny Dancer” at the end of ‘The Dundies’ as Jim watches Pam leave the parking lot. I can’t hear that song without thinking about that scene and getting a little choked up.
She was really funny in Freaks and Geeks.
Replied to the wrong comment, thanks Kinja!
That is such a beautiful, aching song and that bit specifically always gets me right in the heart, too, but the lyrics are actually, “Some things will never wash away. Did you go bad? Did you go bad?”
I was thinking that I’d go with In Rainbows! Like shuffling off this mortal coil to a warm, comforting aural hug. And I can’t imagine a better or more fitting final song than “Videotape.”
She does actually sample “Climbing Up the Walls” from OK Computer on “Don’t Judge Me.”
Solid Radiohead pick, mine would probably be “Nude” - “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi” - “All I Need” from In Rainbows.
Same. I genuinely think he might be the funniest person alive.
Hell yes to I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings. Their From the Basement albums for In Rainbows and The King of Limbs are really great, too. Especially King of Limbs: From the Basement. The renditions of those songs are so different and beautifully organic but just as complex. “Bloom” is sheer bliss.
