Green Room is a masterpiece of tension. It’s so goddamn brutal—while still being somehow restrained in what they show—but it was also so satisfying to see the neonazis get their comeuppance.

John Ritter played a jealous husband in an episode of ‘Law & Order: SVU’ who cut a baby out of his pregnant wife’s womb. It was a chilling performance.
It also doesn’t help that the type of porn that Nacho produces is frankly horrifying with a heavy focus on physical abuse and rape fantasies. Dude is a scary fucking guy. I know a lot of people would say “who cares what kind of pornos he makes, that shit’s fake anyway,” to which I reply, it’s not fake for the women…
Part of the fun of watching Dark Knight Rises is watching all the tricks — Scully box, forced perspective, over-the-shoulder shots, floor-level shots — Nolan uses to turn 5'9" Tom Hardy into the colossal presence of Bane.
Like if he and Kevin James had swapped roles? I could see that working.
James is 5'8" so they must have used some brutal camera angles to make him appear “hulking”
All I can say is props for the Green Room recognition. I’d normally avoid intense stuff but Saulnier is worth it, and the violence is so much less sadistic than the shit I avoid. Just a perfect cast to boot.
Honestly thinking that Joel McHale could probably play a real creepy Neo-nazi. He is hot as hell and very charismatic, imagine casting him as a complete monster that uses those gifts for evil. I’d watch that movie
I watched until the infamous Anna Bates rape plot, at which point I was like, “Fuck you, you don’t get to have your cosy, luvvy English period piece where the aristocracy and the servants all get along, and a gritty drama where ugly things like sexual assault are just tossed in.” Like, I’d always been uncomfortable…
Boo. Sounds boring. But we’ll see. Would love to see her in something that sounds more interesting.
I’m pretty over Julian Fellowes’ whole thing by now, but when you throw the names Carrie Coon and Christine Baranski at me, I won’t lie, you have my interest.
So this is where all the Supernatural basket cases migrated to?
I find it funny how childishly Ricky Whittle writes messages. Do adults actually write like that? No wonder Orlando Jones was the one made the unofficial head writer in season 2.
By all accounts Fremantle shot themselves repeatedly in the face after Fuller/Green and Jones was the one who stepped up to try to fix the debacle as best he could. He never officially took credit and he sure as hell was never given official credit.
I mean I’m tempted to side with Jones because someone thinking a black character is “too angry” sounds very very plausible
I haven’t seen any JP movie since the very first one. But I would so watch Lapkus in a spin-off film.
I Want You is absolutely my pick for this list. To be more specific, Fiona Apple’s performance of it with Elvis. I’ve had a celebrity crush on Fiona since Criminal came out, but that performance actually made me a little scared of her, haha.
Insert Nick Cave song here.
Oh fuuuuuuck off, they’re the hipsters in the bar? Do people still talk and complain about hipsters? Are you stuck in 2008? Enjoyable on its own terms? Dude, you can like a movie and still let other people dislike films without saying that they’re pretentious. Or assuming that you have the true and correct opinion…
