You are the one failing to grasp facts.  She did not say that her son was doing anything illegal.  She did not say her son was a danger to others.  What were the cops supposed to do?  

It will result in fewer fire arm deaths but it will not result in fewer deaths. Look at the homicide rate or suicide rates in Australia or England. They are not affected at all by the firearms ban.

The Dayton shooter gave enough warning signs that he could have gotten a 72 hour hold, which is being committed, which would have disqualified him from buying a gun. If only someone had called the cops before he started shooting.

Yes. My grandmother treated my brother and I differently than our cousins. I used to hate her for it.
