Exactly. The engineering and structural design might have been sound. However, the technology required to actually *ASSEMBLE* a bridge like this was an entirely different matter, and a big problem for the capabilities of the day.

I know, I’m gonna be nitpicky and shit, so I apologize but:

Mass shootings killed around 300 people last year. Tragedies to be sure, but statistically very rare. You’re more likely to get hit by lightning, literally. You’re much more likely to be killed by a drunk driver.

Most gun owners are law abiding, responsible people. They might complain, loudly, but ultimately if the law demands they relinquish their guns I believe they would. The thing is the law abiding gun owners aren’t really the issue. The overwhelming majority of gun homicides are committed by people who already don’t own…

I also interact with many of these individuals, and while I agree with you that they do believe what they are saying.. 100 percent. I just don’t think when push comes to shove any of them would really do much.

Since every cabinet member in this administration has to be worse than the last, I'm calling it now: Trump is going to appoint Oliver North as the next National Security Advisor.
