I will quietly voice my support. While I agree cars need to be safe, I know there will be no half measure like you speak of. Here in MA, I’ve watched inspections grow from simple safety, through emissions and dyno tests up to California emissions. Once the local muckety mucks get a taste of the sweet expired sticker

If you could imagine living in an earthquakethats the only way I can associate it with 24 hours a day and everything rattling and vibrating. Sometimes we would get screws that would fall out from the overhead. Occasionally, a bracket or something would break and damage control men would weld things and make repairs

I still don’t see how focusing efforts on a 1,954 mile Mexican border wall and defunding the Coast Guard is going to help protect our 12,383 mile border along the coast...

Paint it grey, give it to the Navy and let them complain. We’ll have $ for 10 new ones in a month.

Please look into the impeachment process and the burden of proof needed. You are way off with the process.

By the way, it seems appropriate on St. Patrick’s day, so I’d like to informally declare David Tracy the patron saint of Lost Wrenchers. You simultaneously cast us into the despair of Project Hell but also give us hope, a beacon like a magnetic flashlight in a dark engine bay.

So wait.. *GASP* You mean he is going to make companies stand on their own financial legs and not have the U.S. Gov’t as a crutch?

David, I love your attitude and your articles but...I’ve gotta snark.

“In other news, the grass is green and the sky is blue. Stay tuned for more at 10.”

For sure! I routinely refer to the rental trucks we get for work as “the most capable off road vehicle...in the world!”

Still not as tough as any generic rental car. Those will go anywhere, as long as you pay for the insurance first.

Cutting the EPA to “save” the auto industry is like cutting back the police to improve your neighborhood.

Well this is Dodge so....

3.9% APR, 211 month loan, $405 a month = $88,787.75 to own.

That’s why I like Enterprise.

“absolute badass in the courtroom.”

Neutral: It’s a damn shame that GM does not seem to want to move forward with any kind of eco campaign. For the longest time Ford ran their EcoBoost ads, proclaiming more power and better fuel economy. GM doesn’t seem to want to do that though, sure 10 years ago they were debuting the Volt and hyping up the electric

Screw COTD, this is more like comment of the year, or even possibly of all time!
