Chicken tax means that you’ll never get a cheap Land Cruiser, so it makes no sense for Toyota to sell a stripper version

This is what happens when the government allows the industries affected to essentially write the law. The DMCA has sucked from day one and getting it changed will require an act of...Nevermind

That’s exactly what I’ve been saying here. If Ford gets rid of the Fiesta and Focus, people aren’t going to spend Fusion-levels of money to get in to the EcoSport. They’re just going to walk one block down the street and buy from Toyota instead.

I am what you would call a Ford guy. Fuck Ford, and Ford’s fucked is perfect. They can eat shit at this point.

This Facebook-ification of automobiledom just reinforces my desire to keep driving used Toyotas from the 90s. Onboard connectivity? No thanks. Got enough tracking going on via my iPhone.

Yeah, I’m getting ludicrously nervous working in a Ford dealership. That CEO needed to be axed a long time back.

Not really a laughable car, just solidly entrenched as “chick” car.

Fuck Ford, and Ford’s fucked. I am vehemently against the commodification of data generally, let alone the sort of deeply personal data that Ford has on their credit customers. I’ll be in the market for a new car this spring, and this is the final straw that just completely nukes Ford from my list (and a Mustang was

I hate to get all Republican here, but before you start letting the air out of one tire per car in the middle of the night, have you spoken to him?

There’s a market for sedans but the consumers aren’t buying Fords.  The real question is, why do they think they can compete with their SUVs? If I were an investor, that’s a question I would ask. And it appears investors are asking.

Isn’t it funny how they make rules like 2 hour parking, in order to make us criminals if we don’t pay money to fund them?

Is it just me, or is that color absolutely beautiful on this Jimmy. I love crazy bright colors on rugged off road vehicles. Fun colors aren’t just for sports cars!

More to the point, the parts bin is already there with the Transit. (However, IIRC it’s only paired with 4-cylinder diesels, so who knows what the packaging would be like with a V6 or a 5-cylinder diesel.)

Awd is available in Europe. I don’t see a reason why Ford wouldn’t bring it to this side of the pond. Maybe they are afraid that it would put a dent in sales of SUVs? That’s all they have after all.

Did you signal?

If sedans are dead, why does Tesla have a massive order backlog for a sedan?

Grand opening, grand closing.

Just saying...I find it hard to trust the medical journal that is associated with the original rise of the anti-vaxxer movement.  A la MMR/Autism links.
