I always get the bare minimum for infotainment. Minimum being aux jack, bluetooth,vehicle diagnostic to phone and usb charger. Touchscreens and built in apps(that’s what the phone is for)/wifi(I have a phone!)/lte(a weboost cradle with an antenna ensures cellular 99% of time) never ever age well.

I would consider it if it supported every LTE band/GSM/CDMA on every carrier in the world + VoLTE (OnStar allows calls) and was unlocked (iPhone 6s already does this). I would grab a prepaid sim from Walmart for a certain # of GBs and work in the car.

I use the Bluetooth all the time. I leave the phone in the pocket and look right at the road while talking. So much safer than phone to ear while driving a stickshift (this was so hard in city traffic that i didn’t take calls while driving anymore).

Personally I don’t want subsidies for either fossil fuels or alternative energy at the federal level. If California wants to give handouts, that’s their problem.
