Chains are not illegal in my former state of MI as long as they were on snow covered roads. my current state of ND has no restrictions on chain usage as long as its used between Oct-Apr.

I think they’re required in MI in the winter. I know they are required (winter tires are obviously encouraged) with chains and/or 4wd in mountain areas in the west.

These A/S are a misnomer though. They really should say Summer only on them. One 2 inch snow storm and they became extremely dangerous to use (I moved to an area where I found out that the govt uses no road salt).

This is potentially a return of the original Top Gear which was much more like Motorweek in the US, a factual and no nonsense car program. It will not have as wide of appeal but it will still be interesting to me because I actually like these type of programs.
