Plus he’s pandering to his People. Goes along with the “Our Toughguy” image.

The Two-Income Trap: Why Middle-Class Mothers and Fathers Are Going Broke (2016)

I recommend the tweet threads of the state hearing by @JoeBrunoWSOC9 from 2/18 thru today. It’s jaw- dropping.

I can’t prove you wrong.

“Howard Schultz doesn’t have the “guts” to run for President!”

Contrapoints! Yes!

Could be worse. I learned about the Baby Shark song the day before & now this is stuck in my head:

I agree the White House Chef’s talents are underutilized in this admin.

I took it to mean the chef’s SALARY is pd by the govt but the FOOD (personal, everyday meals) is paid by the family. In normal situations. I guess if an actual poor person were elected President (AHHAHAHAcoughcoughcough) that he or she would not be eating ribeye once the First Family moved in.

FWIW, I read somewhere ( cannot find it now) that a President must pay for the food costs in WH meals for his family. Also that BHO was surprised by this (good-natured, but surprised). “....his shutdown lasted into his visit with the newly minted national college football champions from Clemson University....”

They feel entitled. They’re the right gender, gene pool and socio-economic class so no one will call them on their shit. We never have before. Exhibit A: Drinky Crow Kavanaugh. Of course Congress didn’t care.

If govt is shut down, does that mean the WH private quarters do not have maid service or meal service? Coincidental to this visit, I am sure.

Did Kinja catch this yet? Our tax dollars paid for:

His weird adherence to the alleged “civility” and “collegiality” of the Senate, any remainder of which has been thoroughly eviscerated by McConnell’s minority and majority leadership, is baffling and verges on sabotage.

I’m seeing everything through Roe v Wade glasses today. It’s better not to have a baby than to be forced to raise a baby you don’t want. We’ll see more of these.

Here’s an essay that calmed me down a bit but it’s not cheery.
