As a Vikings fan, I have to say you made me cry a bit.

I didn’t “feel unified” the night of 9-11-01, because I was paralyzed and silent while quietly wondering if my uncle was alive and not wanting to ask my parents because I figured if they knew, they’d tell me.

Sure, blowing a 17+ point lead is a pretty good metric for choking, but a better one is missed game winning field goals of 35 yards or less. Bonus points if it’s under 30 yards, and/or would get your team into the playoffs.

In response to the Redskins’ inflexible defense, the Giants are working on something they call a blanket offense.

It’s sort of a funny coincidence, but the number 69 also refers to a sex act.

nice

Counterpoint: the rule that would've ended the game on an intentional grounding not penalty is dumb, so it all worked out for the best anyway.

Prediction: The rule gets changed so that the next time some dumbshit QB thinks he can intentionally ground to run out the clock, the other team will be awarded an untimed down legally.

YOU’RE GODDAMN RIGHT I’M LIVIN’ IN THE FUCKIN’ PAST!

Sam Bee is not obligated to support your quixotic dream of remaking our democracy at the expense of our actual democracy.

On the college level, University of Alabama sororities have reiterated their opposition to anything resembling a colored rush on campus.

I hadn’t noticed that, but it’s nice to finally have something to mock the Browns over.

Fitting that a team best known for shitting itself has the team name running down its leg.

I understand the rule as written, but it seems like there should be a clause to account for changes in possession due to a loss of down penalty as time expires. In theory, I’m okay with the Chippewas getting the ball back for one final shot, the rule book just needs to be modified to allow it.

They certainly called it wrong. That said - why aren’t more people talking about how they called it the way that makes sense? A loss of down penalty at the end of regulation by the offense should result in a turnover and un-timed play for the same reason that the game can’t end on an defensive penalty.

Seriously, you’re doing too much. Don’t do anything

Can only imagine what that Oklahoma State coach was thinking while the refs were looking at the replay to mullet over.

Even the 1990 Colorado Buffs think that that untimed down call was bogus...
