Ohhhhhhhh. My very first brand new street bike I purchased was a ‘93 RR. I used to park it in my living room. Congrats on the find and have fun with the overhaul!

And Marrone was Nassib’s college coach at SU. At least that puts the dots together a little better. Heck, his old OC is in Jacksonville, too. Coughlin also has ties to SU. I won’t say Nassib is better than Kaep, as this is definitely still the old boys network of sub-par player following coach.
My neighbor has one and goes to work at 5:30AM. I love it and hate it at the same time. Same color scheme, too.
Even regular dealers can screw people into that APR. When I bought a new vehicle a few years ago, one of the pieces of paper slid to me was “if we can’t secure financing for you, you agree to at 26% loan”. I already had my financing lined up, but I asked the guy what percentage of people end up in that category. He…
My wife and I went to Dealer A when we bought our Grand Cherokee in late ‘13. Jokingly, as the salesman walked up to us, I pointed at a profoundly abused ‘90s Corolla and said that it would be our trade in. When my wife asked to check out the Overland she liked, it was locked. The salesman said he’d get the keys and…
Odds are if you’re rolling that much negative equity, you have less than stellar credit, which you allude to in the article. The poor interest rate in those situations simply compounds the issue. Unless you can put a good load of money down, that 10% + interest rate isn’t helping matters. And if you’re in the 10% +…
My degree is ME. I’ve never worked in the field, and as such, forgot nearly everything that now 24 year old degree taught me. Kinda sad, actually. I guess at least I can wrench a little bit.
I’m 45, not old in the world, but probably on the older scale of most readers here. I’d say the biggest change for me is patience. Stop, take a break. The other biggest change is now my wrenching isn’t out of necessity (broke high school/college just trying to keep my car on the road), it’s out of fun (my project is…
Reading the linked articles, apparently in Oregon it’s a “restrictive yellow light”, yellow means stop, and red means stay stopped. According to that, you aren’t allowed to enter the intersection when the light is yellow, either.
I saw this, and thought it was an RC kit. Lots of RTR (ready to run) RC cars out there!
Holy cow, that’s crazy. I could sell the truck and have nearly half down on one of these. That’s actually tempting.
From my “Dog in a Cat” series:
What the hell is McMurray doing today?? At least he won’t be a threat to anyone else, now.
Good catch, I read it as “even”
Where do you see that? Reading the above article clearly states that his Camry did NOT have the issue.
A revving race engine as a horn is quite effective in the garage area!
I don’t care one little bit.
My dad would’ve been good company, he died 19 years ago, though. He was a dirt tracker before and after he got back from WW2. I’ll make the trek next year, for sure.
I am quite sad, my 2 year run of attending appears to be coming to an end this year. My usual motorsport buddy has switched his allegiance to superbike and is going to the races in Austin in April instead. It wouldn’t be quite the same going to the Rolex solo. Hopefully next year. The vehicle lineup is awesome.
I will never go to a dealership without a preapproval. No silly four square games, no silly starting you out at an 11% rate to inflate your payments. Going in with an approval gives you leverage to save MORE, if anything.
