You know I’d agree with you if we weren’t talking about the difference between someone turning into a ragdoll when they lose control of their bikes instead of getting nudged. NASCAR drivers are relatively safe thanks to the metal cage around them and nudging is NOT the same as reaching out and grabbing their controls.

Those are terrible tires and Toyota loves them. Had them on a Sequoia, replaced at first opportunity.

Jesus. That’s warranty time. Dry climate?

Yeah, ‘dry rot’ was the term I heard from the inspection guys several times. I’d never heard it on my car before I moved up to the snow belt, though, so maybe it was more of an issue of all the extra crap on the roads leading to it before I would’ve thought to do it based on mileage? (When they said it about the tires

What tires are those so I know never to buy that brand?

There’s just something about that #3 and driving like an asshole.

I’ll be that guy...this is a move that a young Dale Sr would have pulled.

what precedent is NASCAR setting with this? A guy is being celebrated for making a chicken shit move because he drives the #3 car. Denny Hamlin nearly got murdered for doing this in a race last year. Why even bother leading a race anymore?

It’s 4x4 / AWD capability for the snow states driving most of this. If you ever want a no-brainer side hustle, move to the gulf states region and put every cheap Toyota 4x4 you can get on a truck heading to Denver.

Or.. You put a worm type hose clamp over the location where the hinge pin comes out with the fastener at an angle that is difficult to reach and most thieves will move on to an easier target.

Every time I hear about this guy, I get less sympathetic. If he truly cared about his “collection”, he’d be selling them for scrap value just to keep them from the crusher. Sounds to me like he’d rather just have them scrapped.

Some of his prices are a bit optimistic. Some of his prices seem reasonable but are just more than I’d pay for a project I don’t need.

Like some have said, I don’t necessarily feel bad for Ron.

I feel bad for those cars.

Also, it bugs me to no end when a seller says a vehicle “just needs XYZ” and it’ll be good to go. Sure, maybe if you’re talking about the bare minimum to get it onto a trailer without a winch. But that F250 flareside, which is

Because not everybody lives in the sticks where parking is abundant. Besides it’s a kill 2 birds with 1 stone in regards to practicality. Hauls the family and hauls your shit too. Not a hard concept to swallow.

Sometimes there isn’t much of a choice, though. They’re easy enough to avoid in more rural towns, but bigger urban areas with lots of sprawl? You’re gonna have a beast of a time finding the house you want that you can afford and otherwise plausibly live with outside of an HOA.

Kaep is better than the other guy, but ole Tomato Face Coughlin definitely isn’t the coach. If anything it’s worse because Coughlin is the real power behind this team now, not Marrone.

But he is an engineer. Whether he is certified in that state or not, he is an engineer. Doctors, lawyers, engineers...... even in a jurisdiction where they are not licensed, that is still their profession, and you are allowed to state this without being fined.

Who else had their eyes go immediately to checking out the what kind of cars were parked in the background?

So find a new friend. Or take your dad. Always good bonding time at the race track.

This is why I always recommend a pre-approval from an outside lender before applying for a loan with the dealership.
