When I lived on the water, I had a Yamaha Waveraider. If I lived on water again, I’d have another in a heartbeat. I’d be aggressive and stupid on it, but I was mindful of other boats and slalom skiers, I’d never tear it up in what was considered the “ski” area of the river. I wouldn’t want one, though, as my only

The Go Fund Me is almost at 50% already. Nice!

Must have had one of these:

The people that want to off road this Land Cruiser are like people that want to track a Miata. Wait for the 20 year depreciation, buy it, abuse it.

Should I have gotten this instead of my Taco? I’m probably the only person that cross shopped a Challenger Scat Pack and a Tacoma. Had the local dealer had Sublime Green in stock at the time, I believe the Challenger would’ve won and I would’ve had a less than happy spouse. She would’ve recovered, though.

My wife had a Nissan Murano and the battery crapped out. I drove it over to Firestone for a new battery, which they had free installation (Muranos you had to remove the airbox to get to the battery). I had replaced the air filter on the car probably 2 weeks prior. They came to me and asked if I wanted to replace the

No that I disliked my V70XC, but I kick myself for choosing the Volvo over the ‘96 FJZ80 when I looked at both. Sigh.

Why do you curse in every article title? Is it to be catchy?

Cops in my hometown called DRLs “drunk redneck lights” back in the ‘90s (probably still do). They’d park near bars and watch people leave. They’d specifically wait for people with DRLs as it gave them an easy reason to pull them over. When the tail lights didn’t come on, they’d pull em over for no headlights first and

What about this tidbit from the linked article:

Correct.

The attention this is getting is bordering on silly. We bought our GC in Dec of 2013. In the 2 and a half years, including the test drive, not once have we been utterly confused by the shifter mechanism, nor have we been inattentive enough to exit the vehicle without putting it in park.

We got a recall notice, but it stated that the “fix” is still being researched and we would receive a second notice once it was finalized.

Agreed. Now flip it the other way...the interesting things you find when you’re looking for Cougar parts. And just forget trying to find your local Cougar car clubs...

The same old people that need help on basic computer tasks? Even with voice recognition software, I don’t see it being easy. Give it a couple of decades, when people that have grown up and used technology for a large portion of their lives, it won’t be as hard of a sell.

That is awesome! I remember that R&T issue. Back in ‘89, I had an 85 CRX Si, and a few years later, a ‘90 Si. Much as you said earlier, these were my introduction to “add lightness”. Such fun little cars! Looking forward to part 2!

They just rot somewhere. This 355 has been sitting in an outbuilding for a while. The guy primarily does bodywork on muscle cars. He told me he had no clue what he’s going to do with this.

I think it looks stunning. If I could sneak one into the garage without the wife knowing, I’d do so. I’m 6'4, I’m used to contorting into small vehicles to fit.

That’s why I never consider getting a new (or newer) vehicle a money-saving venture. I get a new car because I want to. I make sure it’ll fit into my budget, and go from there.
