I'm bummed I can't make it this year, closing on a new home next week. Lots of fun, looking forward to next year already.

Vertically un-centered "GMC" looks weird to me.

I bought a 2015 Tacoma in April. Love it. I had a 2012 Tundra in the past, and didn’t need its size. I considered the Canyon/Colorado, but could not get dealers to budge much on price since they were fairly new to the lots at that time. I was able to get a good deal on the Taco, and a great deal on my trade in FoST.

My wife's cousin died in a single car accident 2 days before Christmas. DUI. So never mind just the legal ramifications. Please don't kill yourself.

I don’t test drive many vehicles, or drive a whole different slew of them. My departed (sold) ‘92 Miata was probably the best handling vehicle I’ve driven this year. The FoST was entertaining, but in different ways. Wasn’t quite as smile inducing as the Miata, which is why it is also sold.

Coincedentally, I’m picking up my latest project, a 1967 Cougar later this afternoon.

Reminds me of the light bars you see on new Rangers, Hiluxes and the like. When I came back from vacation recently, I wanted to add one to my Taco. I happen to like the look.

It’s funny that there’s a general discontent when someone buys a full size truck instead of a mid size. Now that the Colorado/Canyon are out, there’s discontent when people buy a mid-size Toyota instead of a Chevy/GMC.

People, read the linked article, it explains that this was a charity auction to raise money for Concerns Of Police Survivors, an organization that provides services for survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

When I sold my vehicle while the bank was still in possession of the title, I had the buyer go to the bank with me (Chase). They had their loan check with them. We processed payment there at the bank, the title was then scheduled to be sent to the new buyer (in their case, the new lienholder), and we were done. That

Similarly, I had my RX8 registered on the Mazda owners website. One day, about a year after I sold it, I decided to see if it still showed up under my user account. It showed up, and the new owner had apparently put 44k miles on it, in one year! I think I’ll log in again and see if it’s still there...

I really liked my 2012, overall. We purchased it for towing, and when we discovered we didn’t have anything to tow, it was a very large truck to use simply for commuting and putting an occasional keg or stack of wood in the bed. It’s why I now have a Tacoma DoubleCab. Still family friendly, not quite as cavernous

Something about the sun visor. Wiring could get crimped/shorted and start a fire, or something silly like that.

Make parts available. Our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee was recalled. We set up the appointment in October 2014 for JULY 2015. That’s when the dealer said parts would be available. 10 months. Absurd.

I had a not quite as good, but still a good sales experience this past weekend. The only somewhat slimy thing the F&I guy did (same thing, the interest rate the dealer got was better than my preapproved rate through USAA) was say “For what you thought you were going to pay per month with the higher interest rate, it

I wrench on my project, but hopefully will not have to on my DD. Granted, if I keep the DD long enough, I'll do my own brake pads, fluids, etc once the service plan runs out.

This duck is dancing to the beat of Disco Inferno, which for some reason, is playing on my TV right now.

I told the F&I guy if he even tried to sell anything the deal was off. I told it to the sales person, and the "manager" the same thing. They took me seriously, as I was already very annoyed at the length of time I was at the dealership for what was an already negotiated deal prior to me arriving.
