I enjoyed it. Was it needed? No, probably not. But seeing Obi-Wan work through his trauma and grief and find, ugh, a *new hope* (sorry, I couldn’t help it).... it was a good story.

Replacing Chadwick Boseman would’ve been a really tall order. I think it’s for the best that they’re not going to try (at least not anytime soon). However, re: #3... yeah. They probably should have put the project on hold for a while until she dropped this BS or the situation improved. (I suppose it’s also possible…
Oh god, I forgot that 1995 was 26 years ago lolsmh. I was thinking it was 16 years ago. Maybe he’s Mar-Vell’s grandson?
Isn’t Hulkling Mar-Vell’s kid with one of the Skrulls? I feel like Captain Marvel 2 is a pretty obvious place to introduce him. There’s been enough of a time gap between the first Captain Marvel movie and “present day MCU” for Teddy to not only exist but be a teenager.
I wonder if the show will help to resolve/explain all that. I haven’t been following the show news, but do we actually know for sure that it’s set post-Endgame? His family being snapped would be a reason for him to be living in a messy apartment in NYC with a dog, and in the comics he gave her the Hawkeye mantle and…
Yeah, the multiverse is a neat trick because it allows them to bring back any character that’s left the franchise. Either the same actor can come back (“it’s Iron Man from a universe where Infinity War went down differently!”), or they can totally recast the role (“it’s Iron Man from a universe where Tony Stark was a…
They were in the void at the end of time, after the end of everything. Everything is back in time from there, including the present day TVA.
Agreed. The show is using a common old trope, of a man meeting a woman and becoming inspired to become a better man. It’s just that usually, the woman gets killed or sidelined or just is never fleshed out.
I think yes, but.... then why are the variants all so different? If they’re all basically just Loki making a different choice than what he was “supposed” to, they should all just look like him, right? Unless these are all appearances that Loki has had in the past (through illusion or magical transformation or whatever)…
This is an interesting comment, and something I personally had never considered.
Maybe they steal clothes from the dead people?
I’m 90% sure we’re going to get a Young Avengers show or movie down the line. We’ve got Eli, Kate, Cassie, Billy, and Tommy already, and I’d bet $5 that we’ll meet Teddy in Captain Marvel 2
Doing a big Secret Empire storyline would be very, uh, timely and topical, I think. I would love to see that.
I think Sharon is doing some triple-cross secret agent stuff, and at the end she’ll come out being more or less on the “good guy” side, even if she does morally gray stuff.
Not much, really. It is the downside of putting a lot of creative energy into developing IP that doesn’t belong to you. It seems like a lot of comic creators will work with Marvel or DC for a number of years, until they develop their own following, and then they’ll go off and write indie titles - because you can sell…
It’s at least a little later, because Riker is a captain in command of his own ship.
That one was lovely, but also tough for me because Johnathan Frakes bears more than a passing resemblance to my late father (who was the one who introduced me to Star Trek as a kid), and seeing happy retired dad Riker brought up a lot of feels. I had to put the show aside for a couple weeks.
He’s working for the military, fighting a terrorist (criminal?) group. The Howling Commandos definitely killed Nazis in the first Cap movie, and Cap & Falcon & co killed Hydra dudes in the second. I’d like to think that Sam would’ve captured the bad guys if he could do that and still rescue the guy they’d kidnapped,…
I wouldn’t consider most or any of those to be androids. There should be a fourth one, Really Strong Guy.
The US was not involved in WWII until 1941, so Bucky wouldn’t have been deployed to the UK in 1937. However, he is a guy who had his brain scrambled for 70 years, and also - people just forget things and get dates wrong. If you asked me to give the publication date of a book I like on the spot years after the fact, I…
