This is a legit critique.

Sure, but if you’re going to make something that’s nothing like the books, why make an adaption at all? I mean, I would understand if this were a big popular franchise, but Foundation...isn’t that. The name doesn’t carry weight except among fans of old school hard scifi, and those people aren’t going to be impressed

headcannon: this name was chosen not because Darth Vader was trying to be intimidating and dark, it’s because he was SUPER into intergalactic estate law

the shuttle in return of the jedi was identified as ‘tydirium’ by the imperial officer asking for their pass code thingy. ‘invictus’ was a shuttle in one of the more recent SW comics.

also, if you’ve ever read the william henley poem (https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/51642/invictus) that ‘invictus’ is generally

If you don’t want to vaccinate, go to a small island and sequester yourself, [otherwise] you’re saying ‘Fuck you’ to all you other human beings. We all have to do it if we want to live. I don’t understand how people don’t vaccinate

Christ, can you imagine Esposito saying it to you in person? It would be humbling.

Moff Gideon takes no shit.

Something to ask the missus when she unsnaps. “Do you like tattoos?”

he doesn’t even need to retire. In the comics both Hawkeyes have the name and exist simultaneously.

I’m for this if we get a montage of her trying to copy the rest of the team first:

“I’m afraid I just Green myself”

It ’s not a maybe, Feige confirmed Xochitl Gomez Is playing America Chavez In Multiverse of Madness, which Is awesome. I think Hulkling might be a bit more of a “maybe” though. The character demands a lot of storytelling just to explain who/what they are, but who knows, Secret Invasion could be the place. Feels like

Narratively this show is a big step forwards for the eventual Young Avengers movie/streamer they are clearly moving towards. Falcon/Winter Soldier did Patriot (Bradley’s nephew), Wandavision gave us Speed and Wiccan, Loki gave us young Loki, Ant Man gave us Cassie Lang (Stature?), and now Katie as Hawkeye. All they

So, assuming that the larger narrative purpose of this show is to give us a second-generation Hawkeye/Kate Bishop, do they kill Clint off or let him retire to a happily-ever-after with his wife and kids? After the events in Endgame, it would make a lot of sense if Clint is really struggling - guilty over Natasha dying

Elsewhere I saw some people complaining about the monologuing, but I loved it. In just this one episode he made Kang (who I didn’t know that much about before) a far more interesting villain (....or many, many villains...) than Thanos or Ultron ever was.

This version of Kang was just a nerd who became a tyrant kind of

Yeah, a lot of criticisms of Sylvie seem to ignore her backstory. It’s not exactly a convoluted background either. She had no childhood, she was ripped out of the lap of luxury and then spent who knows how long running from people who were trying to kill her for no god damn reason ever properly explained to her. It

She’s also been running from the TVA for most of her life. It’s harder for her to come around to the idea she has to become the thing she spent her life fighting than it is for Loki, who only just found out.

I was very much disappointed with this as a final episode to the season (I feel there should have been one more after this to at least somewhat wrap SOME things up), but nothing bad can be said about Majors’ performance. The man is an incredible actor.

Also, now more and more I wonder if What If...? is going to just be a fun series of different ideas, or if it is going to explicitly have some sort of multiverse arc, now that this show has officially opened that door.

Kang. Immortus. He Who Remains. I cheered when I saw Jonathan Majors face. Sure, we all suspected but seeing it confirmed was such a “YESSS!” moment. Sure, unexpected twists can be fun but so is delivering on foreshadowing.

That would be nice. It really feels like the next series of movies need that build. Some kind of threat or connecting thread to bring them together.
