I'm a human you're a bear!

I just used this yesterday, while telling my husband that I suspect that one of our neighbours is a Nevernude.  DOZENS!

I am obsessed with Esther and am going to visit her on one of their open house days this fall.  She is adorable.

I just looked this up, and she apparently tried to kill him once before WITH A CROSSBOW WHILE HE SLEPT.  He thought it was an accident!  What is even happening?

And apparently she had already tried to murder him once before - with a crossbow.  !

A priest chose this passage to read during my grandmother’s funeral Mass.  WTF, priest.

Alan Rickman in that movie is the best man ever.  I love my husband very much but that is how it is.

A friend of mine has a cat named Edna.  My golden-retriver-nephew’s name is Leonard.

I once heard a jack russell at the dog park being called by his owner: “Stuart!”

What a great response from you, though. I’m going to file this away in my memory bank.  This hasn’t come up for my kids yet (my daughter is six) but I’m waiting for it. My mother-in-law is obsessed with being thin and sometimes will say the odd thing that grinds my gears. My kids were weighing themselves at her house

That will not happen. Other monarchies can choose successors (e.g. Kingdom of Jordan) but not in Britain. Charles will become King.

That’s great advice and I love your grandma.

I’m almost 39 and I’m definitely not at the self-acceptance stage yet.  I hope I get there, because this is exhausting.  I’ve just shifted my anxieties from certain things to other things (wrinkles, sagging, etc.).  UGH.

Isn’t that the truth.  My grandmother should NEVER have had children.  She strongly dislikes other people, even (especially?) the ones related to her and I’m sure that had she lived in a more progressive time she would have chosen childlessness.  She should never have been in charge of raising other humans but there

My four-year-old son is obsessed with ABBA and his favouritest song is Chiquitita.  On repeat. Forever.

And his dad is Mad Eye Moody!

The Paying Guests is a *very* slow burn. It does pay off in the end (I think) but it takes a while to get there. I liked it. Have you read Fingersmith? That one is really twisty good fun.

I loved this book and I find quite a few of Sarah Waters’ books are *really* slow burns like this. I gave The Paying Guests back to the library because nothing had happened in 200 pages, then I took it out again and lo and behold, it all paid off in the end. I can’t wait for this movie.

Isn’t Sophia Lillis playing a young Amy Adams (or her character, Camille) in Sharp Objects?

I love that your sarcasm had an apostrophe. A tip of the hat to you.

Her Russia series was so good.
