Well, I learned something today. On se déniaise. Thanks!

Oh my goodness. That is just crazy. I’m glad she’s well.
I have a button that my very left wing aunt gave me with a picture of Tommy Douglas on it that says “Thanks Tommy!” and I wore it around for a while after my daughter spent two weeks in the hospital.
I’ve heard that about modern ones but was that true back then?
Minus the suffocating corsets, though. I’m all for taking up space as long as I can breathe.
It’s just shocking.
I’ve made it a goal to never ever become pregnant again and the IUD and I are a good team on that front. We’ve got this!
*financially
How is that even possible?!? I’m Canadian and I’m sure my daughters 2 week NICU stay would have ruined us financially had it happened in the States. It’s just insane.
I love my IUD so much.
What a horrible worldview. It almost makes me feel sorry for them. But not because they are monsters.
Seriously. American maternity leave is insane. And the cost of having a baby in a hospital. I don’t know how anyone there affords it. It’s so backward.
I’ve always had that feeling about him too. I vaguely remember a situation from his experiment to live on $1 a day that really angered me. His girlfriend had a UTI and she had to take public transport to a low cost clinic that was far from their house in order to show how hard it is to live that way, but she had a…
I come from a French Canadian community outside of Quebec and most of the people in my town are what I would consider Cultural Catholics. We like pageantry and nice paintings and statues and pretty hymns and feeling guilty about stuff.
I’m curious about this too. I’m Canadian, and historically Catholics here have tended to vote for the Liberal party, but our history is quite different and our electoral system is as well. I thought Catholics in the U.S. tended to be more conservative.
Totally agree. I had this terrible teacher in Grade 8 who told us all about how he started off pro-choice but became pro-life once his wife got pregnant and had a baby and he saw the miracle of life, blah blah blah. I was already angry about that at age 13. Now that I’ve had two kids I’m even more annoyed about his…
Disclaimer: I’m not even American, so I’m just guessing here, but I don’t think it’s really about abortion. It’s about controlling women.
What is wrong with white women? I am one and it’s embarrassing. What the fuck.
I have my Master’s in Political Science and I told my husband last night that if Roy Moore won I would welcome our robot overlords (my husband is very concerned about AI taking over). So, yeah. Also very nuanced.
Wow. That guy is...not bright.
