Switch to mud once the snow melts.

I have seen police cruisers with a padiddle, so don't be too complacent about them if the headlights are otherwise cop-worthy.

One of my cousins used to eat frozen hot dogs like popsicles back when we were kids, and I know someone from my high school who really enjoyed a bowl of Fritos and lemon juice.

I thought that too for a minute, but it could also be because of the flashback scene(s?) she’s in (it could be a scene that didn’t make the final edit or maybe just because Vin wanted everyone involved to be a part of this movie)

Well that explains why she didn’t show up in #7 even though she gets a credit.

My first theater-experience Bond was View to a Kill. Luckily I had friends that introduced me to the Connery movies before that.

There's another response to this post from someone to the effect that a European court held that tips are paid to the owners of a restaurant up to the point where those tips bring the servers' wages up to the minimum. I was completely unaware of that (as are a lot of people on this side of the pond, apparently).

Wow. And I thought the paltry $2.13/hr in salary I made as a waiter was crappy.

OK, I get the part about the owners taking a share of the tips for themselves, but the story being based in the UK meant that *all* the employees were salaried. If the story was just about the owner taking a share of the tips the story could have ended right there. I guess I'm more confused about whether the end of

Am I the only one who doesn't get why Amelia's boss was so horrible?

I'll give Spiegel a very small amount of credit for not pulling the "sorry if I offended anyone" trick. At least he came flat-out and stated that he was wrong.

Hope you saved that Allen wrench...

I think that was an Adam Sandler movie.

Yeah, but we both know that not all car dealers present their customers with that comparison. "8% vs. 6.99%" of the same number is a pretty easy question, but "8% for 48 months" vs. "6.99% for 60 months" is less obvious, especially if the customer is only concerned about the monthly payment and how/whether that will

Not really. Not that many fat Midwesterners are willing to rock that tank top when they can pour themselves into a XXXXL Walter Payton jersey. Maybe if Mitchell & Ness sold college throwbacks you'd see Jordan in North Carolina over Larry Johnson.

Or even Robin Yount?

What the hell, Wisconsin? Kobe Bryant is your top-selling retro jersey?

This dog catches food like Roger Dorn fields a grounder.

I didn't tie the "ask for a raise" comment from your post to some other commenter. My bad.

Doesn't the union contract determine your wages? I thought that the union employee has no power to just go to his boss and ask for a raise. If the contract says no COLA increase or something similar, then your gross hourly pay stays the same and you'll like it.
