Were the other guys on Wilt’s team even trying to get rebounds that year?

I don’t know about Marvin, but most of my jeans don’t fit quite well enough for me to just tuck a handgun in the small of my back and know that it will stay there. Chances are, the first time I stand up that pistol is either falling out of my waistband or dropping straight down one of the pant legs.
I’m going to guess that you never subjected yourself to a Monica Seles game. That would have removed any thought you would ever have about putting the “woman’s tennis grunt” on the good sounds list.
Once I saw the headline I started wondering who (if anyone) was going to end up on the better side of this story.
So Leonard calmly hits the three, peels himself off a screen at the other end to chase down the block, and then rips a rebound away from LMA. He does it all.
This probably isn’t a quirk so much as an unexplainable feature, but I rented two Elantras recently and both of them chimed when the temp dropped below 40. I have no idea why 40 degrees is the magic number, but apparently the engineers/programmers at Hyundai are concerned.
Can we blame the “talent” for the nearly-useless ESPN website? Makes me pine for the days of Netscape Navigator, it does.
Yes, but they decided that isn’t what their viewers actually want and chose instead to give us stuff like “SC6 (Now with even less sports content).” The past few times I’ve been at the gym on Saturday mornings I’ve been getting nearly no highlights from Sportscenter. I’m sure there were games to cover the night…
Back when I was in college and he was a relatively young man, I enjoyed watching him. Now, I feel like he starts every conversation at Excitement Level 10 and strains to go up from there. It’s really tiring.
What does the release point of Rose’s shot have to do with the amount of stress on his knees? Is he planning to jump less high while he’s releasing his shot earlier?
That seems like one of those ultimately meaningless stats that gets thrown up during the baseball season: “Team X is 8-15 this season in Tuesday day games played on grass.”
Nah, I see the Bulls picking “Stretch” 4 Who Can’t Actually Shoot From Outside in the first round.
BiggerPutz, I’ve seen many a Chicago driver use the shoulder as an extra passing lane (usually at the Austin exit from the Ike), and the people have always let the goober in. Kudos to the group you were with for not letting that shit slide.
Man, the placement of that overhand shot to end the clip was just mean.
The USADA isn’t part of the executive branch of any level of government or a law-enforcement agency, so a “warrant” is out. They would have subpoena authority if litigation had been filed in a formal court or possibly within its internal dispute-resolution structure.
Where do the coaches have any leverage here? They might have some supposed moral authority, but I’m not seeing a ton of bargaining power across the board.
Does the “jock tax” (professional athletes ending up having to pay income tax for each game they play in states other than their state of primary employment) still apply? If so, that’s going to make your second example even messier and wrong as currently set forth.
Because Forman and Paxson have demonstrated so much ability to properly draft players thus far? So far, Butler seems to be the only recent draft pick that worked out at all for them.
I’m not sure I want to live in a world where “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” is considered a highlight of anything.
Maybe he was drinking Manischewitz.
