No, I don’t know of any other instances where Aykroyd or Ramis said anything like that. I think you are likely right that they took compensation as writers and voice actors and publicizing the work was part of their contract, but they have to be aware that saying something like that as a creator is going to give

Now playing

I appreciate the link to the article. Here’s one from 2007, which is interesting because it shows how Aykroyd’s perspective may have changed over the years: https://www.spookcentral.tk/2023/01/20/game-informer-dan-aykroyd-interview-december-2007

This strongly depends on where you live. I live in a place with blazing summers, the occasional snow day, and the vast majority of winter never falling to freezing.

I have family that does that. They prefer to be texted. That may change with the (re)advent of live voicemail (or as we used to know it, call screening).

This show is pretty great but I absolutely stopped reading a few sentences in. It’s not even out for another week!

I’m reminded of the Better Off Ted episode that dealt with cultured meat and it tasted like “despair”. That said, radically in favor of it if it works out and reduces the ecological impact of livestock.

This is fantastic! This is really the kind of content I’d like to see more of. I’m kind of over the list of linked products thing, but this is something I’d like to try.

This happened with AI Dungeon on OpenAI when changing models, and when they were implementing backend restrictions to block keywords and associations. It also happens when adjusting context and token size. You get used to the AI remembering a certain amount and then it changes.

One NoDoz Max is also 200 mg of caffeine. Not great for kids, but certainly doable for older teens. It’s that or the man with horrible burns and an old dirty hat, right?

The irony being that BG3 is doing it to avoid something else, Starfield I think, and Stray Gods is the only one of the three doing something new and interesting.

If you give someone a gift, you probably shouldn’t complain about how it was used, especially if it trained a tool that will assist with more writing. I’m looking forward to the eventual Neverending Story.

Also a favorite: we’re in a construction area and you’re used to driving in that lane but now it’s being used for oncoming traffic. You’re coming right at me. Get back on your side of the road.

Yeahhhhh. I feel you. It’s going to make my twilight years real lonely if I can’t figure out a way to fix it.

Someone else being wrong isn’t a license to do wrong. That said, a friend of mine once told me “If I said it, and you understood it, then it’s a word.” And he’s probably right. He’s sold a lot more books than I have. He’s also freely and blithely admits to mangling the English language for profit.

Good question. Somewhere outside and covered but ventillated. I recall seeing propane tanks stored in racks outside of stores, but they are under the eaves. My dad just keeps his in the garage near the garage door, which is probably suboptimal, but it’s as far from the main body of the house as it gets, and the garage

Gameplay wise, all three games are basically the same. This is a Very Good Thing (tm).

Likewise, I had some for the workshop and they came in handy for the occasional wildfire day. I found that I could remove the valves and slapped a piece of gaffer tape on either side of the hole. Definitely not as good as a N95 without a hole, but far better than a cloth mask.

You wave at them and try not to spend 20 minutes hogging their only weapon’s bench. People build these things to be seen and appreciated. I like to throw a wave and sometimes we sit down and have a jam session on the instruments.

A lot of the player homes are well designed. You still see the occasional all wood clap trap from a low level player who just wants a place to stash all their stuff, but even that has gone away in large part due to the premade buildings like the Red Rocket or the trailer or the large tent that are all available.
