Going back and forth between watching Her and making Sky repeat some of the dialogue. It doesn’t sound that much like her. Sure, there’s some “young woman with a slightly raspy voice” to both, but you would definitely notice if someone subbed out some Her lines with stuff generated by the artificial voice.

No, I don’t know of any other instances where Aykroyd or Ramis said anything like that. I think you are likely right that they took compensation as writers and voice actors and publicizing the work was part of their contract, but they have to be aware that saying something like that as a creator is going to give

I appreciate the link to the article. Here’s one from 2007, which is interesting because it shows how Aykroyd’s perspective may have changed over the years: https://www.spookcentral.tk/2023/01/20/game-informer-dan-aykroyd-interview-december-2007

More battery. Thinner and lighter is not a utility if you don’t add more operating time. I don’t mean adding more battery because the processor needs more power and you’re just breaking even.

Wow, what’s for hating on a dad that stays home with their kids? Inflamatory.

This strongly depends on where you live. I live in a place with blazing summers, the occasional snow day, and the vast majority of winter never falling to freezing.

Go for The Final Girls if you like this.

I have family that does that. They prefer to be texted. That may change with the (re)advent of live voicemail (or as we used to know it, call screening).

Amused that the article category was listed as Star Trek.

This show is pretty great but I absolutely stopped reading a few sentences in. It’s not even out for another week!

I’m reminded of the Better Off Ted episode that dealt with cultured meat and it tasted like “despair”. That said, radically in favor of it if it works out and reduces the ecological impact of livestock.

This is fantastic! This is really the kind of content I’d like to see more of. I’m kind of over the list of linked products thing, but this is something I’d like to try.

This happened with AI Dungeon on OpenAI when changing models, and when they were implementing backend restrictions to block keywords and associations. It also happens when adjusting context and token size. You get used to the AI remembering a certain amount and then it changes.

One NoDoz Max is also 200 mg of caffeine. Not great for kids, but certainly doable for older teens. It’s that or the man with horrible burns and an old dirty hat, right?

The irony being that BG3 is doing it to avoid something else, Starfield I think, and Stray Gods is the only one of the three doing something new and interesting.

If you give someone a gift, you probably shouldn’t complain about how it was used, especially if it trained a tool that will assist with more writing. I’m looking forward to the eventual Neverending Story.

Because people ambiguously interpret the statement.

They should do a double casting, mess with everybody, and spend the first third of the film as a period piece that we don’t know is a flashback to give us context for the last two thirds with the new actor.

Just primed by the article to hear it. When I distract myself for a few moments and listen to it outside of this context, it’s just squeaky noises. Bacon/beer can auditory illusions https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Auditory_illusion
