My dad always checked women out when he was younger. Not in a lingering creepy way, but I noticed his eyes casually looking at pretty women every once in a while.

I think it’s because the gender that matters (men) see mostly women in secretarial positions and conclude that it’s a “chick” job.

You are absolutely right. I’ve only been watching for about 20 years, too, and SNL has never been “OMG” hilarious. I think some just latch on to memories and conclude that SNL hasn’t been funny since whatever cast they liked the most.
