Ten years ago, I had to use government assistance. It was a very difficult time for us and drug testing would have been so demoralizing.

We all benefit from services provided by the government. We all contribute to the tax system, whether through income tax, capital gains tax, property tax, or sales tax.

I'm an attorney, and the only attorney employers I've ever heard of testing applicants for drugs are state and federal agencies because those agencies test all prospective employees. Never heard of a firm that tests. Hell, some of the drug using-est folks I know are lawyers in BigLaw.
