People like this Friedman person are a big reason I always felt the need to add, "research psychology, not 'talking about your feelings and making vague conclusions' psychology," whenever I was discussing my major.

Really, controlling women's reproductive rights is a part of living in a theocracy. Furthermore, states like Mississippi having the ability to deny people based on whether or not they think someone's sexual orientation offends their morals is another theocratic measure placed into law. Maybe, you should go learn a…
that's ok, all is forgiven, after all you are a jackass.
you should turn off your computer now, since it runs software built by hackers and weed smokers. fucking jackass.
Computer science major here! I smoke quite a lot of weed, I'm doing very well in school and I work a development internship 20-30 hours/week which is basically guaranteed to turn into a full-time development position when I graduate. I think the fact that you don't know any successful stoners says more about you than…
That's because the intelligent people who smoke weed are intelligent enough to do it discretely.
I'll bet you know lots of people who smoke, and you just don't know it.
You would be surprised how many engineers smoke. It can help with creativity and overall problem solving.
And you won't find any cutting edge companies who drug test their programmers/software designers.
Sorry dude, but the War on Drugs is a self perpetuating machine that adds value to its target. If weed wasn't illegal no one in their right mind would buy it from someone involved in cartels.
lol.
They do. Multiple DUIs and domestic abuse are actually regularly tolerated.
There's a reason you won't find many software companies who drug test anybody involved with software development.
my gramps was a 3 star general who never went a day without drinking nearly half a bottle of scotch everyday at work for 35 years.....he worked in the pentagon and had an entire liquor set up on his desk....baller....
Or they could, oh I don't know, legalize weed? That would be a hell of a simpler solution.
and yet i'm sure they've hired tons of raging alcoholics. or made them.
Just one more reason the the War on Drugs is just stupid.
You are failing to differentiate between uniforms and dress codes. Uniforms are equalizers. Dress codes like this provide faculty with the opportunity to selectively shame students. Usually female students, students of color or queer students.
Yeah, I'm calling bullshit on this too.
So you hate high school students and you hate the school system in which you teach. I agree with apeshapedmanreturns, it sounds like you finding a different line of work might be in everyone's best interest.
