these are mostly really, really, REALLY sad. My chief concern though is highlighted in the first one...(not as it applies to the preceding sentence, but to the overall tone of the comments)

While this is clearly upsetting to some people here, I think it's important to see things like this.

And, to add, that "I hate my son," makes me want to cry. Like it's his fault he was born a boy. This person is an awful, awful human being and I can only pray she doesn't show how she feels to her son.

Yea you're right. While a lot of them are funny to totally relatable, the confessions of mother's who hate their children seem rather sad instead of funny. I couldn't imagine the sadness and emptiness those mother's must feel and I wonder if it affects how they interact with their children.

Yeah, this hurts me to my core. I wouldn't say some of this stuff about my sister/bother/husband/parent. How can you say it about your kid??? You know having them was actually a choice, right? This is horrible.

The "I hate my son" one isn't funny at all; it's heartbreaking. And the "I regret having them every single day" one, over the beautiful photo of those adorable little boys, is incredibly sad as well. In fact, I find most of these more sad than funny. I think these women must be in a lot of pain to put these posts up

It's sad that so many people believe in this garbage. :(

I'm sure this deluded idiot is grateful for the promotion of the book (this thread has 26,000+ views so far). Astrology is bullshit.

"For the record, I hold astrology in a kind of half-jokey/half-admiring regard. Like so many woo-woo things that aren't supposed to do jack-shit yet have millions of swear-by advocates, it's somehow simultaneously nonsensical and dead-on, and in a way that weirdly contradictory aspect of it earns my respect.

Astrology is anti-science. And anti-science is anti-feminist in my opinion. The path to empowerment is through reason and critical thinking, not pseudo-science and bunk.

A slipper slope into what? A civilization shift into non-belief of supernatural voodoo?

I'm down.

Oh, I agree that it's not harmful, unless you consider stultification to be harm.

I am expecting my first child on November 7th and the number of people who have said "oh, poor you, a Scorpio baby." Or "you don't WANT a Scorpio baby. Trust me" is astounding. My favorite has been when they put their hand on my shoulder all sympathetic "Maybe it'll be early and you'll get a libra...or late and you'll

My god! My...my dead grandfather's name was Jules-Earl. Yes! YES! WHAT ELSE DO YOU SEE?

I'm seeing a person...their name starts with J. Is there a person in your life whose name starts with J?

No, but it promotes exactly the kind of thinking that bolsters the types who ARE trying to get it out of public schools. We have to stop accepting *all* pseudo-science and treat it for what it is: pseudo-science. Championing it or even lending it the slightest bit of credibility has consequences. It teaches people

"ike so many woo-woo things that aren't supposed to do jack-shit yet have millions of swear-by advocates, it's somehow simultaneously nonsensical and dead-on"

That's because astrology is purposefully vague and horoscopes used such soft, coercing language that you are led to agree with the results because literally

People who believe in astrology shouldn't be allowed to raise children.

Romeo can and should wear whatever he wants. In the same way that a church can do whatever they want with their own programs. I mean I think it's shitty, but I think it's also well within the rights of a Church-run program. Hopefully this will just help illustrate to people how archaic, oppressive and generally

While I'm bothered by the fact that the club's administration is taking this position, especially when there have been no reports of the child actually being bullied, I am also not surprised. It's called "Rugby Christian Fellowship", after all. Not to bash on Christians or anything, but it seems to me that
