I think that gun control would save a hell of a lot more lives.
IK,R? And the Australian minimum wage is about $20/hour for adults, which until recently was about the same in $US.
Really? I actually have no trouble at all believing that.
“so they can argue later in court that they never intended for people to think it actually contained meat?”
“I would slice Spam, fry it until it was crispy on the outside, and have it with eggs for breakfast.”
“Plus, ketchup rules. Ketchup on potatoes. Anything tomato rules (ever hear of a red-eye?) We should ad ketchup to everything.”
[Spam] “It’s the breakfast of champions.”
I’m sure I’m not the first to say this, but I remember seeing dog treats just like this being advertised in the 80s. Damn America, People Chow is no longer satire. O.o
Actually, I’ve known a few clothing designers, & they all cut patterns & sew, at least for the original design. It’s all delegated after that, of course.
I’m sure there are plenty of visiting male priests to abuse them as well. :/
It’s about time that Kermit got help for his Stockholm Syndrome & escaped his abusive relationship with Ms Piggy. Domestic violence is a bad thing, y’know.
[Mindy Park being Korean] “That’s nice - he didn’t write it in the actual book, however.”
I skimmed through lots of the 2nd & 3rd books in KSR’s R/B/G Mars series for that reason. I promise you that you won’t miss anything important to the story if you do the same.
I don’t recall Mindy’s relationship status being mentioned, but from context, it sounded like she’s single, & youngish.
There was also the JPL guy, Bruce Ng, who I believe was probably “Asian” (in the traditional American use of the word) — maybe Vietnamese?
“The book had culturally diverse characters. But the author was actually criticized for that.”
Seconded, because it’s really good book.
“I’m trying to read this book, please leave me alone (or go away) would probably end the convo right there.
