you don't get monoprice.com in the UK?

This transmitter uses ten on-board components and will transmit a monaural audio signal about 30 feet

There's still a LOT of Canadians cross-border shopping at the grocery store in my neck of the woods, so it's probably still a better deal for them.

The currency exchange may be about on par, but the cost of most things in Canada is higher, part of it is some higher taxes, but the sticker price before taxes is also higher to begin with. The GST (goods and service tax)+ PST provinical sales tax) adds 13% in Ontario, not sure about B.C.

None of these problems apply to digital goods you make from your own physical copies of items or from things you pirate. Those are your best two options.

put it in a big box

Uverse has an "up to 45Mb" tier. Assuming that's available in your area and you're close enough to the central office. I've been on the 12Mb plan and it's been pretty decent, although their all-in-one router/modem sucks (Motorola NVG510)

if you're talking about 26-36K dollars/year - no, not even close.

but they're always doing really "useful" things like screwing with the spacing on the right-click menu, removing the plus sign on the new tab button, changing the settings menu from a wrench to 3 horizontal lines, redesigning the new tab page for no reason, and then back to how it was before changing it again.

arrghh, I ran into that with a BB gun. Not a word about shipping restrictions until I went to checkout - even though I was signed in the whole time (with CC on file) and they knew what state I was in. This was after I bought an amazon gift card specifically for the gun. I was able to get some other stuff, but the

WD TV Play Media Player ($40) | Amazon | Lowest price ever

I see what you're saying about the smart tv vs dumb tv - I feel the same way about 3D tvs. But, I can't imagine the market for a tv with 1 HDMI input would be very big.

they won't stop printing the dollar bills is the problem. We've had a dollar coin since the beginning. Many Americans will bring up the Susan B Anthony fiasco, but with the new Sacagawea and president coins in circulation, there's no reason to keep printing dollar bills. Maybe we'd start using the $2 bill -

so, they're able to provide excellent coverage to an area about the size of Indiana? that's amazing.
