I was half-expecting some of these “noobz” out here to cite Shawshank. <SMH> man oh man, people, rite? Some people are for the birds.

Q. Who wins in a Game of Death?
C’mon, at least have the courage to replace those L’s with R’s. You know it’s funny, I know it’s funny. Everyone knows it’s funny whether they admit it or not. Who cares what these dorks think?
Vader never intentionally gave away the location of the exhaust port to Han Solo’s gullible best friend, tho.
In other words, you’re buying into Gus’ delusion that he’s sort of a good guy sometimes. You know, it’s odd to me how I’ve noticed that with some BB fans, Walt can be criticized for poisoning (but not killing) Brock - despite entering into the enterprise to help his family - but a genuine child-killer / mass-murderer…
Slippin’ Kimmy.
I remember kinda enjoying this movie, honestly. I think it was in that era when movies - particularly action movies - were still taking themselves waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously. I suspect that would have rubbed the audience the wrong way if said audience were a bunch of adults who were living in a state of proud…
Ms. Swan would have been the perfect Kato-sidekick for Catwoman.
If Kim has someone file a (probably bullshit) copyright claim on Mesa Verde horsey logo, like I suspect, it’s going to have a nice symmetry with Jimmy’s billboard infringement stunt from the beginning of the series.
I don’t think it got mentioned by name, but I’m pretty sure Jimmy & Kim’s movie night this week was The Great Escape.
Episodes like this are why the show - as good as the series is - isn’t and will never be as good as Breaking Bad. Mainly, the entire Mexican Vacation half of the episode was just really bad. It didn’t serve much for the plot and was clearly guided by “let’s make a meditative episode that’s a real character study!”…
Title seems a tad deceptive (in fairness, it was his own).
It angers me that he’s getting paid to write this shit.
I don’t really like his policies, if there are even any (and I don’t disagree with the Shadow Republican label), but I respect his immense talent and definitely see a future for him. Despite being the youngest on stage (except when Tulsi was there), he blew me away as he increasingly schooled almost every politician…
Put that in quotes and add it to all published AVC marketing.
it’s still a puzzle box right now
hear, hear!
Annihilation left me pretty cold, too. I didn’t really feel engaged enough to look for what it was trying to do behind what I caught without trying. Alex has built up a lot of faith from me, if only because he fuckin’ wrote “Dredd.” It’d take him a lot more stuff I didn’t care for before he became the next Nolan where…
it was by far the weakest of the three episodes, but this is still a great series. I agree that there was a lot of fat that could have been trimmed and already wrote it in my own comments.
I hope they don’t get dragged down by a Matrix plot, because they tend to miss the greater point of what a “simulated universe” even means.
