Come on Jason, you should know better. Those are most certainly NOT production lights. You’re most likely seeing temporary units fabricated for pre-production vehicles going through road testing or validation. OEMs do this all the time so they can get prototypes and mules on the road while production level lighting is

That’s really the same issue on the Autobahn. You can be doing 220k+ and some truck stuck doing 65 will pull in front of you in the left lane. combined with fuel economy reduction, it’s usually just not worth it to be cruising at anything higher.  Not to mention, high speed driving is extremely tiresome for anything

4th Gear: Honestly, for most purposes on most highways, 100 mph is pretty much the fastest you’d ever really want to go, and 80 mph is a practical speed.

I would like to point out that Rivian chose to paint serial #000001 with an actual color. Apparently every other manufacturer has consumed the world’s supply of white, black, grey, and silver lacquer.

I’ll be sitting here refreshing the screen, waiting for people to complain about the four foot bed on the Rivian pickup truck.

Oh also dude, congrats to Rivian. I never thought it would actually happen but they are producing their pickup and by all accounts it is fantastic. This is a huge win for Rivian, Ford, Amazon,

Build to order has always been an option. I’m a sales analyst for a major automaker, and one of our niche models has always had a high factory order percentage. It is vanishingly small for all of our other models.

I can’t speak for Toyota facilities, but I have worked for two big players in aerospace. One with a very strong union (in fact it’s the Canadian UAW, Unifor) and one without. Both companies need the exact same talent set in their shops.

You can be pro-union and anti-UAW. Even other unions don’t like them.

It’s worth noting that to realize a $7500 tax credit, you have to be making a decent amount of money to begin with.

You are aware they can make EV SUVs, right?

Gas tax is one of the most reliable ways to get tax money from the poor.  In a country where 40+ percent pay effectively no income tax it wont take long for the government to figure it out and get their money.

The idea that Uber corporate makes progressively more every year while paying drivers less isn’t a bug, it’s literally the key feature.”

Seems like it’ll keep dodging the blame, though.

I was shocked that Uber didn’t increase driver pay when the cost of a ride goes up (e.g. peak fare time). That’s dirty and unethical af.

“the Gig Economy” and “the side hustle” are marketing terms for exploiting the uneducated and underemployed and underpaid by paying them less than market rate for the perceived benefit of “freedom from 9-5"

all the “Gig Economy” has done is destroy the lives of actual cab owners and drivers (who made decent money prior

Trailer cost: $1800

Surge brakes are super common across many trailer types...

There’s a facebook group that would love this post.
“U-Haul wouldn’t like you doing that with their vehicle”

Wait... did you call the U-Haul car trailer... LIGHT?
